Riddle_Fawkes The garden starts to drink water, automated watering system goes right up there where i cant climb up easily. Vertical 3 level 8 pot water level sensor pump system coming with T-adapter for 2nd output. For protective wall plants and edible aromatic herbs probably. As good as done. Drip lines all along the edges. Time to water and dig for dead seeds that need to be replaced.. and start giving names.. just joking

Riddle_Fawkes No more white flies since days, fast reaction is everything when if comes to pests. Found and killed only 2 here 4 total. This F1 is far away from homogenous, variation is off charts - but thats what we want, something new. Strange, felt like popping too many seeds but it was just enough to have less than 5 females and 1-2 males max in the end.

Riddle_Fawkes Landrace = race. Oldschool growers used to throw seeds in handfuls rather than one by one. Results in stronger plants because nature does it like that. Survival of the fittest. Just this Land is not outdoors and the evolutionary pressure is very different. Bad airflow and light quality are 2 main problems in indoor growing. These are the 2 main limiting factors here, too. Of course, there is more light and air over their heads so as soon as a winner plant pushes through, it can show if it is more than just strong. First signs of flower should appear soon. I dont know if i planted enough seeds to get even one good auto pheno male and female each, and i popped a decent amount. Gonna be tricky selecting them.

Riddle_Fawkes Day for day passes by slowly. My legs are weak. I write this down trembling in haaaappyness that i clearly didnt switch something up here lool xDxD seriously. That first test cut straight got a smell of the desired raspberry terps. Now lets see if its autoFLOWERing or autoVEGGING (reminder to self: auto clones do root, yes, but they dont veg, no)

Riddle_Fawkes The wild garden stands strong, but it looks like a 6 week veg at least here. The selected male photoperiodic father plant was not the fastest but bigger and stronger. The autoflower mother also was not in a hurry, but despite me trying to slow it down the flower started around day 35. Thats long ago... i need to clean up the bush, but i wont take any plant out until i see if i have autos here. Fingers crossed

Riddle_Fawkes Germination was around 15th of June. Its week 8 now and its no real flowers in sight. Did a cleanup today, sprayed my new mix now containing sulfur, removed 3 small seedlings and for now thats all i can do. UPDATE: PROBABLY I PACKED A PHOTO X AUTO CROSS IN AN OVP AND F*ED THAT UP This same day a friend whom i gave the leftover raspberry howl auto seeds wrote me he had a male plant. He told me hundred times he didnt switch the labels or something. It looks and smells different than all other plants ive seen so far from this strain. Maybe some not feminized pollen contamination happened? U dont get those opportunities twice, whatever this is - it is a gorgeous plant. Challenge accepted. To make sure the mysterious male plant is an auto, im keeping her under a long light cycle. She was grown over there in impossible conditions. Few hours of direct sunlight, cheap soil, almost or no nutrients added, only tap water. Still he is 1,50m tall and looks healthy. Like a landrace i guess... --- infrared theory --- The same mechanism, that detects far red as daylight for stretch control, also controls the flower trigger. Here, almost no infrared light ist present. This could possibly explain the slowed down development.

Riddle_Fawkes The mysterious male seems to not be autoflowering. It does look like another male regular passion#1 that i made a few seeds with too, but although it was faster, it was not the one i selected for breeding. It also died faster. It was impressive, but had less smell. Same for this mysterious male, very strong structure but not much trichomes. Trichomes are an ancient part of plant genetics, the theory that male plant should not have trichomes seems 90% likely bullsh*t to me, but maybe there are males that have more trichomes for herm reasons. In the mini garden, there is some mini flowering starting, almost visible already! XD maybe i add a candle for infrared and CO2 xD
