johntoe 0 Week two is done - and the crew is getting started! 🌱 Day 12 - 23° | 60% RH | 0.8 kPa | 16 DLI Move to the 3.5s. For the first time, there was fertilizer: Powder Feeding Bio Grow (3 g/l) in the soil, Bio Enhancer (1 g/l) in the watering can. The move went smoothly - the next morning, everyone was standing tall again. Day 14 - 27° | 63% RH | 0.84 kPa | 18 DLI Lights turned up. Short internal distances, lush green, no stretching: They visibly wanted more. 😎 The weather is not making it easy for me. A summer high is pushing in over Berlin – humid air, tropical nights, over 30 °C by mid-week. It’s pressing into the tent: temperature up from 23 to 27.5 °C, humidity today at 70% (the drizzle outside is doing its part). VPD drops to 0.68 kPa - still manageable in early veg, but with the heatwave approaching, it’s crucial to keep an eye on humidity and temperature before the box gets denser. Day 17 - 27.5° | 70% RH | 0.68 kPa | 18 DLI Four strong, dark green little plants slowly growing over the edge of the pot. The King's Juice (right row) are spreading the widest, the MxOP (left) are following cleanly - one of them is lagging slightly behind, nothing wild. How do you manage the tent temperature in this heat?

johntoe Wweek three - and it’s getting serious: Topping! ✂️ Day 19 - 26°C | 65% RH | 0.78 kPa | 18 DLI Healthy growth. The crew is filling the 3.5s nicely, dark green and robust. Day 21 - 27.7°C | 65% RH | 0.88 kPa | 18 DLI Topped. All four were cut above the 3rd node - but only after the 4th was fully developed, so the leaves have enough strength. No drooping, no shock: they took it like it was nothing. Day 24 - 28.8°C | 64.3% RH | 0.98 kPa | 25 DLI They’re bushy. Three days after topping, two new tips are pushing out everywhere, the plants are spreading out instead of growing tall - exactly the plan. I raised the DLI to 25, and they’re handling the growth easily. Plus, the heatwave is in full swing: In Berlin, the thermometer is hitting around 38°C today. It’s pushing hard into the tent - 28.8°C, VPD heading towards 1.0 kPa. I countered with a simple trick: regularly hanging a wet towel in the tent. The evaporation pulls a few degrees out and slightly raises the humidity - just right for the dry heat 😎 Starting tomorrow, it’s supposed to cool down outside - lucky me.

johntoe Wweek four - the little ones are turning into bushes! 🌳 Day 27 - 26° | 70% RH | 0.62 kPa | 25 DLI After the heat peak, finally a breather: Outside the wave has broken, and inside the tent, everything is running smoothly again. The topped tips are stretching, all dark green and vibrant. Day 29 - 26.5° | 63.9% RH | 0.87 kPa | 25 DLI Cleanup and training day. The topping has fully taken off - nice bushy growth with many shoots. I removed a few fan leaves lower down to let in more light and air, and then did LST for the first time. Day 31 - 25.1° | 62% RH | 0.84 kPa | 30 DLI The effect is already showing: The crew is spreading out, the side shoots are pushing upwards and forming an even layer. DLI raised to 30 - with this growth, they can easily handle it. The strain difference is interesting: The King's Juice has longer internodal distances, while the MxOP grows short and stout. To help the compact MxOP keep up with the rest of the layer, I placed both on a small pedestal - now all four are back at the same height under the light. Next week, the big move is coming: into the final 20-liter Autopot fabric pots. After that, it's time to let the roots run and slowly head towards flowering ⌛

johntoe ㅤ Week five - Moving to the final pots! 🏡 Day 33 - 26° | 61% RH | 0.94 kPa | 30 DLI They're still in the 3.5s, but you can see: Space is getting tight. Ready for the next step. Day 35 - 23° | 68% RH | 0.6 kPa | 30 DLI The big day: into the final 20-liter Autopot fabric pots. For substrate, I'm using a mix of three parts Bio Bizz Light Mix and one part Perlite, for a loose structure and good oxygen at the roots. The move went smoothly, no wilting, no drooping. After that, I immediately continued with LST to keep the new layer nice and flat. All four are developing great, I'm really satisfied. Day 38 - 27° | 57% RH | 1.1 kPa | 30 DLI The move has fully taken off. Fresh growth at all the tops, lush green, the roots are obviously adapting well to the new pots. I also lightly defoliated to prevent moisture buildup at the bottom and to improve airflow through the plants. The strain differences remain exciting. The King's Juice are reaching up higher, while the MxOP stay compact and bushy. With LST, I'm keeping the layer aligned. Next, I'll let them root a bit more in the 20s and gather strength, then the flip to flowering is getting closer 🌸

johntoe WEEK SIX - final preparations before flowering! 🌸 Day 40 - 27° | 67% RH | 0.8 kPa | 30 DLI The crew is now filling the pots properly, wide and even layers on all four. The strain difference remains visible: The MxOP (left row) are compact and bushy, while the King's Juice (right row) are stretching a bit higher. Day 42 - 25° | 67% RH | 0.67 kPa | 30 DLI Calm day, especially with a lot of leaf mass added. The layer is getting denser. Day 45 - 25° | 65% RH | 0.78 kPa | 35 DLI The big cleanup and setup day before the flip: The Autopots are installed but will remain inactive for another week. I want to make sure the roots have grown all the way to the bottom of the pot before the automatic watering takes over. I’ve stretched the SCROG net over it and woven in the shoots for the first time, so the layer starts off nice and flat and wide into flowering. Additionally, I set up a dehumidifier to be prepared for the upcoming flowering phase and defoliated once more to allow light and air to reach the lower layers. Next week it’s time: Switch to 12/12🔥

johntoe Wweek seven - Into the bloom! 🔥 Day 47 - 26.5° | 64% RH | 0.87 kPa | 35 DLI The day before, I already activated the Autopots, especially the back King's Juice seemed quite thirsty. The result is convincing: noticeably visible leaf growth. Day 49 - 27° | 66% RH | 0.83 kPa | 35 DLI Heavily defoliated before the switch ✂️ Before, a dense, closed leaf canopy; after, an open layer with free netting and clearly standing shoots. Removed many large fan leaves to let light and air through and to ensure the stretch kicks off optimally. Now just 3 days to recover, then the bloom can start! Day 52 - 28° | 60% RH | 1.1 kPa | 25 DLI It's time: switch to 12/12, the bloom is on! Also doing some LST to spread out the fresh shoots, and raised the back MxOP a bit so its canopy is level with the rest. As a transition to the bloom program, a BioBloom topdress with 3 g/l. The VPD is intentionally a bit higher at 1.1 kPa, which fits well in early bloom and helps keep the humidity in check. From now on, it’s all about letting it stretch, filling the net, and waiting for the first pistils 📈

johntoe Blossom week 1 - the stretch is on! 📈 Day 54 - 26.6° | 60% RH | 1.00 kPa | 25-28 DLI Two days after the switch, it's visibly starting. The shoots are pushing upwards, the net is filling up further, and the layer is noticeably denser. Day 59 - 28.5° | 58.5% RH | 1.18 kPa | 22-30 DLI The stretch is especially noticeable with both King's Juice. Despite the increased MxOP, they are now about 10 cm taller and getting more light accordingly. For me, it's still within limits; I might lose some yield with the MxOP, but that's not a big deal. Otherwise, top growth with all four; the leaf mass is overwhelming. The dehumidifier has its work cut out, and the water tank is emptying rapidly; the plants are quite thirsty. I've only intervened minimally: removed a few large sun leaves, otherwise, I'm leaving them alone. Next week will also be relaxed. The big defoliation along with lollipopping is scheduled for week 3.

johntoe Blossom week 2 - Stretch, Stretch, Stretch! 📈 Day 63 - 28.5° | 61% RH | 1.1 kPa | 22-30 DLI Calm week, just lightly defoliated. Day 65 - 30° | 62% RH | 1.14 kPa | 22-30 DLI The temperatures have climbed back up nicely, and the VPD is still in a good range at 1.14 kPa. The four are extremely thirsty. Both King's Juice continue to stretch strongly and are pushing their tops well above the rest, with the first flower sites already showing at the tips. The MxOP are visibly catching up now. Day 66 - 28.5° | 62% RH | 1.1 kPa | 25-30 DLI The height difference became too much for me: The MxOP are now on Ikea boxes 📦 The result is convincing, the canopy is back in line, and all four are getting their fair share of light. Next week, the big defoliation and lollipopping is on the agenda.

johntoe Blossom Week 3 - Lollipopping Time! 🍭 Day 72 - 27.5° | 57% RH | 1.19 kPa | 25-30 DLI The plants measure 45 to 85 cm, and the canopy is still nicely level thanks to last week's height increase. The buds have really taken off in the last few days. At each tip, there are thick, compact formations with bright white pistils, and new bud sites are forming everywhere on the side branches. The colas of the King's Juice are a bit longer, while those of the MxOP are shorter and denser. The canopy is a closed, dense area, just the right moment for some cleanup. Day 73 - 28.7° | 59% RH | 1.18 kPa | 25-30 DLI Lollipopping done: everything that was sitting in the shade below and wasn't going to amount to anything has been removed, and the leaves between the buds have been thinned out. You can see it best from the side; the stems and lower side branches are completely clear, so all the energy can now go upwards. From now on, it's all about staying calm and letting the buds fatten up 📈

johntoe Bloom Week 4 - now stacking! 📈 Weekly average 27.3° | 59% RH | 1.1 kPa | 25-35 DLI Calm week, no interventions. All energy goes into the blooms. And you can see it: The buds are stacking in layers on the shoots, the stigmas are dense and white, the first flower petals are sparkling with trichomes. The roof is a closed flower area over the entire tent. Climate stable, the dehumidifier is working well. The first yellowing is starting at the bottom, everything is normal. In the coming weeks, I will gradually lower the humidity to increase the VPD.
