The last couple of entrants to my Tent are picked for my beloved. My partner has a hunkering for some Old school 80s Cheese and through a good bit of researching and investigating i stumbled across what the Paradise Seeds guys are saying is a strain from the original London Underground bombshell that we all know and enjoyed very much in my younger days. With this the guys sent a free Atomic Haze which i have also added to the mix.
I have again soaked both for 16 hours and now transplanted in to there respective homes for the next couple of weeks. Both have a much shorter flowering time than my American Cousins in which they will be sharing space so will need to keep a delicate eye on both.
As expected not a great deal of progress, However transplanted from germination pots to a 1ltr seedling pot no need for any nutes as growing medium is a high quality Bio Bizz which has enough for 4 weeks of food, plenty for these little ladies. Hoping will strengthen and straighten once well rooted.
As mentioned in previous post this is really a Ty for my beloved for all her help mainly during Harvest 😍
This Cheese is her absolute favorite from back in the heyday 80s. I am also growing an Atomical Haze that the guys at Paradise Seeds kindly sent as a free gift. I again slightly burnt the tips on the leaves i am hoping that this will only have a small effect on the overall grow. All being well i am looking to Transplant both these young ladies in their finishing Pots this week.
This week was particularly difficult and always a little scary. I find the 4th and 5th weeks the most difficult when growing from a seed as it is the time when you know if you have a runt of the litter. Good news however the Cheese is Growing very well and the Atomic Haze just as good. Moved them in to their finishing pots this week so no more stress for me or the Ladies they can focus all their efforts on Growing tall.
I expect a slow start to next week with all the extra space it will take a couple of days to spread the roots.
Good week of Growth for both strains the Cheese has been the fastest and strongest grower in this whole batch so far it has impressed me hugely with its aggressive growing style very happy. I have topped this week both strains and i expect to top them again later next week or the following depending how well they grow on this week. Started PH checking this week and found these also a little high so will adjust with arrival of PH-. Overall good week all as expected no trouble. 😁
Well the Original Cheese has really impressed from start. It is still growing at an incredible pace it has now already started to fill out after its topping. I still believe that this will be an incredible strain i am anxious to see how it performs once it has been switched over. The Atomic Haze is also continuing to impress considering it was a freebie it has shown great promise. Heat is continuing to be a problem this week with an expected hotter week next will take up some time keeping these ladies cool.
Another good week growth for both these young ladies. Original Cheese is still absolutely flying. (Fastest Strain by a long shot) Struggled with the heat from last week and suffered some slight crisping on its upper and outer leaves but i have been keeping a sharp eye on her and it doesn't seem to of affected her overall performance. Atomic Haze is still growing as expected steady at a good pace. No problems thus far. Happy. 😀
Good Final week of Veg for both. Cheese has improved from last week nearly repaired heat damage from previous week, The Atomic Haze is a little slower than Cheese but it is still very healthy and growing solid. Also added a some PH- but is not on the Nutes list so cant add it to my diary page. Looking forward to that smell of Cheese😶
First week of Flowering couldn't come soon enough for the cheese. An absolute beast of a strain i have nothing but praises for this plant. All i can say is its growing perfectly. The Haze however is a stark comparison , i believe the pot size is a huge factor of this being only 10ltrs in comparison of the 20ltr pot for the Cheese. i will keep watching closely should see some flowers early next week.
No new pics this week as away on Hols. Will update on next entry. Everything went as well as can be, considering i was not around and everything was on autopilot!
After my weeks Hols both plants still standing and growing well. The Cheese is still blowing my mind great strain really hardy, The Atomic is growing great in its restricted pot size. Both starting to produce early flowers expecting them to start fattening up over the next few weeks. New camera arrived and looking forward to taking some good high res pics next week.
Now then this week again the cheese managed to get some heat damage however i am not sure why as it is a good 6-10cm further away from the light than any of the others i can only put this down to the specific strain of this plant as being much more susceptible to high temperatures. The Haze however is continuing to grow at a good steady pace still looking strong.
Both these plants are continuing to grow well, Both starting to gain some weight. The Cheese because of the early damage it took seems to now be falling behind the pack after leading it for so long. The Haze however seems to be picking up the slack and improving daily. Still really hoping for a good smoke from the Cheese but this is very much in the Hands of god now.
As per the previous week the Growth has picked up and it is really starting to pile on the pounds. I must admit after the initial burn which is still quite prevalent on the lower leaves i had not expected any real progress but this one has been a big surprise since planting the original seed. The Haze has been steady since day 1 no real problems at all.
Both good progress this week i was hoping for more of a color change would be nice to start seeing the pistils changing color but i suppose patience is a virtue. Entering in to its final week of Flowering i am certainly not convinced that this will be ready and i believe that it will require and additional week maybe 2. We will see.😐
Still a way to go. Buds are starting to fatten up but still lacking in potency and to be fair not producing heavy trics like the rest of the crop growing together . The Haze however has started to produce heavy trics and potency. I am going to leave these i think for at least another week to carry on growing and finishing off. Only started flushing late last week so no real urgency to start trimming. The Cheese looks like it has the ability to deliver huge yields but for me it seems to be lagging behind its brethren. Fingers crossed it will start to mature next week.
Very good week for the Cheese has started piling on the pounds. (At Last) however no where near as quickly as the other strains being grown with it. Although it has had a good week i am almost certain that i will leave this for an additional week to finish off as it still has a fair bit to go before being harvested. The Atomic Haze however has proven to be a little bit of a gem, Good steady growing with a great frosted appearance bud. I wasn't expecting anything really from this one as it was a bit of a loner but massively impressed with its finish. This one is also ready for a harvest which i believe i will do mid this week. By the looks of it i will be posting an additional week next week for the Cheese but hoping for a successful harvest of the Haze.
See you next week with more news.
