Jesperado The apes spent their first two weeks at a friend’s house, where they received a somewhat “exclusive” amount of light — as in, not very much. Naturally, they stretched a bit, reaching for the glow like tiny jungle philosophers searching for meaning.
They’ve now been moved into their final containers, given a little support to help them stand proud, and relocated to their new home in a secret spot.
Not the most glamorous start in life, but the apes are settling in nicely — a little taller than planned, but still ready to grow into proper little beasts.

Jesperado The Apes seem a bit stunned compared to my other 3-week-old plants. One of them dried out, so I'm down to 4.
My guess is that the tall, narrow pots haven't been ideal for root development, and the black containers have likely been heating up the substrate more than I'd like under the sun.
To fix that, I've dug the pots into the ground. This should help keep the root zone cooler, improve moisture retention, and hopefully encourage the plants to bounce back and find their stride.
