DE_BW The Strawberry Gorilla had a very rough start and stretched excessively during the seedling stage, leaving it with an unusually long stem. The new vegetative growth looks healthy so far, so I’ll give it another week to recover before deciding whether to keep it or cull it.

DE_BW After an extremely leggy start, the Strawberry Gorilla has recovered surprisingly well. Filling up the pot and securing the stem gave her the stability she needed, and she’s now growing vigorously enough to be topped. She has a very unusual leaf coloration that appears to be genetic rather than a deficiency, as the overall growth remains healthy and vigorous.

DE_BW Despite a very rough start, Strawberry Gorilla has made an impressive recovery. She handled topping without missing a beat and is showing vigorous, healthy growth with excellent branching. I’ve now started low-stress training to shape the canopy early and keep her structure under control before the flowering stretch begins.

She is very healthy, responds perfectly to low-stress training, and is naturally forming a wide, even canopy with plenty of strong side branches. She is not showing any significant signs of pre-flowering yet, so I expect at least one more week of vegetative growth before the stretch begins.

DE_BW Strawberry Gorilla is developing exactly as I had hoped. She is an extremely vigorous and productive plant with outstanding branching, creating a wide and even structure that should provide plenty of strong flowering sites. Although she is already showing the first signs of pre-flower, I still consider this the final week of vegetative growth before the stretch really begins. The plant looks exceptionally healthy overall, and the beneficial predatory mites seem to have done their job, as pest pressure is no longer noticeable. She is entering the flowering phase in excellent condition and is shaping up to be a very promising grow.

DE_BW The Strawberry Gorilla has officially entered her first week of flowering and is looking extremely promising. Every branch is developing strong flower sites, and the amount of branching makes her look like she could become a very productive plant. I continued with some light LST this week to keep the canopy open and evenly distributed. I also gave her a fairly thorough defoliation, especially through the inner growth, to improve light penetration and airflow. The structure is exactly where I wanted it to be going into flower, with plenty of well-developed tops and good spacing between them. From here on, I’m mostly going to leave her alone and let her do her thing.

DE_BW Flowering Week 2 The bud development on this Strawberry Gorilla is seriously impressive. Flowers are forming all along the branches and are already starting to connect into continuous buds, even at this very early stage of flowering. The amount of productive growth across the entire plant looks extremely promising. I gave her another fairly aggressive defoliation this week to keep the dense structure open and improve light penetration and airflow. She is growing so vigorously that I’ll probably have to do another round of defoliation during the coming week. Other than that, there isn’t much left to do. The structure is established, the stretch is under control, and she looks very healthy. From here on, it’s mostly a waiting game and watching all those flower sites fill out.

DE_BW The Strawberry Gorilla continues to develop beautifully. The buds are visibly gaining mass and are starting to connect along the heavily branched stems. For only the third week of flowering, the bud development is already very impressive. The entire plant is covered with well-developed bud sites and continues to show excellent yield potential. Trichome production is also starting to pick up noticeably, already spreading across the sugar leaves. Overall, the plant looks very healthy and vigorous. She has also started to develop her first noticeable aroma — a light and pleasantly sweet scent. After all the training and heavier defoliation during the previous weeks, the structure is now established and I can mostly let her do her thing. From here on, it’s mainly a waiting game to see how much weight she can add to an already very promising foundation.
