Natrona Hey Abby Test 2-Apollo F1 by @RoyalQueenSeeds
This has been a Hey Abby Grow box test. The first requirement is to select a short strain. I chose Apollo F1 from Royal Queen Seeds which I had grown before. March 25 I put in a Root Riot cube, germination 3/31 and transplanted 4/4 into the Hey Abby 3gal fabric pot. Apollo received Grow Dots at 15ml/gal. Watering with ph 6.3-6.6 during the growing season.
By the end of April, I began training using LST by pinning down the limbs. I continued pinning through out the veg and into flowering. I trained the plant to make sure it did not outgrow the box like NY City diesel. Based on the harvested size even after training, she would have remained short enough without training to grow comfortably in the grow box.
Since I was testing the lighting parameters under the autoflower cyle that I previously identified as a problem in the HeyAbby /NyC Diesel grow, I started the grow using the Autoflower program. When starting this grow I reached out to the Hey Abby team that indicated the program had been fixed. IT HAS NOT BEEN FIXED. Do not attempt to grow in the Autoprogram for Autoflowers the light will flip to 12/12.
In Mid-May I deleted the auto program and switched to professional mode. Screen shots of the set up in professional mode show I used clone as a starting point. Since my plant was already starting to flower, I selected the flower week and set my light hours and timing. At this time there were tasks to select but that disappeared from the menu. I had to contact them to set my watering and harvest schedule. Once this was set, my Hey Abby app reminded me when to water, defoliate and cut and hang. Operationally the Hey Abby performs well using the professional program cycle. It is a bit confusing since they don’t provide a manual.
Stay green, growers love 💚🌿
