after looking around the internet for some weeks i finally determined which strains fitted my interest. One of them is the new and highly anticipated Sugar Breath from Humboldt Seed Organisation.
to stay realistic i am aiming for 200 grams a plant but anything above that is always welcome. So let's start growing.
happy to announce that i added this badboy to my garden.after just one week the plants look healthy and have come up nicely. i try not to over water them as they won't need that much water in this stage.
i have already been thinking about my outside plans. whether or not to use a cage system around the plant and which types of soil i am going to use. But first, let's keep an eye on them and make sure they survive to that point.
no crazy news for this week. the plants are growing slowly as the sun isn't that strong yet in this time of the year. i have added some sticks for support during the stretch period.
as the plants are growing i'm planning to give them their first cuts. i'm using the Fuck I Missed (FIM) technique first, as this can result in 4-8 new main stems.
i decided to give my girls their first cut. i used the so called Fuck I Missed technique in which there is the possibilty to grow up to even 8 new main stems. i'm currently stil thinking if i should do this multiple times or use topping. next week i will post the results from the cuts and hopefully they are all done correctly.
the plants are getting a great smell even though it is still weak.
so just a week after the FIM they are doing great. The cuts seem to be done as intended and they are Both growing 6 mains now, 4 at the top and 2 at a branch below.
today 13-05-2019 i transplanted all the plants outside, the root development of the girls were very good but unfortunately i forgot to make a nice shot of it. they look beautifull in the garden.
so the girls have been outside for their first week now and as they are progressing they have developed some bleached type leaves. this could possibly be because of transplantation stress or by not being used to the amount and intensity of light they are getting at the moment.
the leaf bleaching seems to be over since the new growth is nicely green. i think the reason was the PH level of the soil itselve. The plants are still growing nicely and are starting to get more bushy as intended. when the branches are long enough i will mainline them to the outer sides of the cage. i removed all the lower growth, as this will never recieve enough sun to become good quality weed
the plants are growing like crazy. They become more bushy every day and are showing healthy new growth. I'm almost able to mainline the branches through the cage to begin creating nice bush shaped plants. i expect to be able to mainline the plant in just a week or 2. they remain compact and bushy and are filling up the cage nicely
i'm thinking of lollipopping/stripping the smaller growth at the lower parts of each branch to focus the growth at the upper part of the plant. let me know what you guys think of this idea.
the ladys grew a lot last week due to the combination of hot sunny weather and plenty of rain. i have mainlined all the branches through the cages and tried to spread them evenly. during the mainlining i broke one branch of one of the Sugar Breath's. i have taped the branch but it doesn't look like the branch will make it. we will see how she does next week and otherwise it is an unintended topped branch so no worries. Curious out!
