topped some of the smaller bud sites, i have a problem, its growing too big for my greenhouse, 180cm including height of pot :-0
not sure what to do, top or bend?!?
hi i have one very tall critical punch, its around 180cm (6ft) including the large 25l pot. My greenhouse probably has a few inches of ceiling left.
Should i top it and take about 20cms off or bend it and tie it to internals of greenhouse, generally dont train outdoors much..
your problem is due to poor exposure to the Sun to my point of view….so the the plant looking for the best exposure and grows a lot for …. no more... no less...
Downsizing the pot size is a great way to prevent such tall plants, next time use a 2 or 3 gallon pot. It does not look like its even close to blooming, I would top a good chunk off.
Yep supercropping would be best. I just would not top anymore. If not supercrop then tie it with a string and bend it that way.
Happy growing! healthy looking plant there...

thanks guys, i usually go with 2 or 3 gallon in tent, but outdoors i was thinking the sky is the limit lool butdidnt think it would go that big. Bloom does not usually start until at least late august for me, expecting to trim in october tbh so a long way off yet.
The plants all get ample light and were in fact slow to start, so i dont suspect stretching like in a tent when the light is too far, in fact 3 seeds all started same time, two of them are a good 50cms shorter. The big girl is very healthy so far and actually has a smaller pot than her little sister! Probably my compost thats been cooking for 3yrs and she likes that taste of that. Only problem is being in the greenhouse means less strong wind, i have one outside fully that has got a stronger stem, but i have done this before and the greenhouse should see its advantages coming up to end of flower when rot sets in.
I will have a go at supercropping although i was always under the impression not to touch outdoors ones, not really sure what other option i have other than fitting larger fences all round lol
Hi @mononostril! Take a look at the "supercropping" technique. It requires to bend the stem at almost 90° angle but without breaking its internal veins. Here's a nice tutorial about supercropping: https://www.growweedeasy.com/how-to-super-crop-marijuana. Hope this will help, keep us updated and happy growing! 👊
