Day 57: #1 has been successfully transplanted to a 10gal smartpot. We used ocean forest soil and happy frog mixed at a ratio of 1:3. It has higher p&K and were getting ready for flower
Day 59: #2 is still in the 3gal pot of happy frog. She isn't showing any signs of nutrient deficiency or stress and because of size restrictions I think I'll leave her in this pot.
Day 61: watered with real growers recharge today. 1st time watering since transplanting #1. And she seemed to be okay. We have decided to start watering every day and not for run off.i cant get a good routine and sometimes they get bone dry. So to avoid that we will water a couple cups every day and allow 36hrs of drought 1x a week.
Day 63:
Pulled the girls out for a photo OP tonight 😁 also we watered #2. Then we did a mild defoliation because the new optic 8+ arrived today!!! The entire tent is set for flower!! I will be starting flower tomorrow morning and also be taking clones from these girls as well so we can get some good info logged on how the Choc mint clones too!
Week recap:
2x optic 8 LEDs for 1000 true watts
60%-70% dehumidity at all times
73°-83° tent temps all times
Happy frog soil
Real growers recharge
Ac Infinity t8 fan with carbon filter
Dehumidifier
Several oscillating fans
8,00btu portable air conditioner
In the last 2 pics from this week you can see #1 leaves "tacoing" I've read this indicates heat stress, but the lights are over a foot above, great airflow and surface temp is only 78°. What's the deal? @hso do these girls like cool climates??
Hey man, just here with some unsolicited advice , just ignore it if it's not welcome 😅 looks like the very start of magnesium deficiency: you can tell by the yellowing between the veins of the leafs - add calmag to the feed or as a foliar spray two times a week the issue should stop spreading. Basically Mg related issues are pretty common when you mess with the lights ... Hope this helps ! 🚀
@Cannibalgardens, I cant! Started flower this week. I also put 1 of the Choc Mints outdoors in my outside garden because they are flowering outdoors in my area now
Best of luck with the grow my friend and thank you for choosing our Chocolate Mint OG for this adventure on the grow diary platform👍
Looking good at this early stage of growth👌
Please keep the diary update coming as we really want to follow this grow along 🙏
With love from Humboldt County✌️

@Elysian_gardens710, Everyone wants The New by Sherbinski 👍

@Humboldt_Seed_Organisation, thank you for looking! I update on here ever Tuesday and on my Instagram about daily lol I am a huge fan of your gear! I have some Sapphire Scout I'm popping soon! And wish I could get ahold of The New. Thanks again!!
Love the answer to the questions guys. Especially the bit about hydrogen peroxide. Super handy! However for me it was heat. Just a sensitive girl. Runoff is exactly as expected. She is drinking, and drying regularly. I lowered her another foot from the lights and that seems to help. Temps are in the 80s right now and it cant be helped 🤷♂️

@Humboldt_Seed_Organisation, sound great I've had my eye on OGKZ for a minute 😉 I'll be ordering both that and ASD this week. Reccomend a bank? I'd like an HSO approved grow on here. Thanks for the kind words! -Elysian Family
@Elysian_gardens710, I would definitely Look I into

@Humboldt_Seed_Organisation, hey thanks guys!! I'm running at least 6 different strains and I think Choc Mint is my favorite as far as veg is concerned. Her growth is beautiful! I'm thinking of running the remaining 3 beans along with 5 sapphire scouts I have of yours next! Around August 16th. I'd like to round it out with a trifecta of HSO. Any recommendations??
@MG2009, thank you very much!! I wanted to do a very detailed diary for this strain as I have plans to pheno hunt it later and want to know how it behaves

@CRiSPrGrow, thanks for the thought I'm gonna look into it after work. They just got into bigger shoes a week or so ago so the deficiency maybe from the old smaller pots. Either way thanks
Nice to see another Chocolate Mint OG grow entering bloom (12/12) on the grow diary platform 👍
Let the flower show begin🤗
With love from Humboldt County✌️

Chocolate Mint OG hitting mid bloom and packing on some serious weight 🤗
Big fat buds dripping in trichomes, what's not to love 👌
Until next time buddy 👊

Our CMOG plants seem so similar!
My one girl is super dark with the big main colas and my big girl that I trained down a lot more to stay at the same height has the single bud sites all across except for 4ish bigger colas.
My big girl also needs way more feedings to keep up since I'm in ProMix peat/soilless, definitely switching to soil for next grow 👊
I know what you mean about a super quick flower/stretch with the CMOG!
I don't know if it was pent up from the long veg but I had Trichs so fast in week 1 that I thought it was mildew and by the middle of week 2 the stretch seemed done.
Already seeing signs of buds growing among the pistils and it seems the smell should start to skunk up by the end of next week.
Excited to keep an eye on yours as we're on the same flower sched 👍
