Germination successful.
---
I've been popping Raspberry Beret seeds for a while, trying to get a good indica pheno as there are 3 different phenos and only the indica leaning pheno has the strong raspberry terps. I finally found one and I'm doing 12/12 lighting from germination, as it's a regular seed and I want to see if its a male or female. If it's a male I'm going to definitely be collecting pollen, but if it's a female I'll probably grow it to flower and take some clones along the way. I should know if it's male or female before the end of the month.

It's growing at a good pace and the internodal spacing is still nice and tight. A leaf/stem rub smells very strongly of raspberry and something else, maybe a dark red wine.
Once the 4th node is developed I'll be keeping an eye out for balls. Either way it ends up I'm fine with, as it's the terps I'm after anyway.

She's making progress, slowly but surely. I was forced to drop VPD back down to 0.7 last week as her top fan leaves started to dome from too much transpiration. This is not uncommon because 12/12 from seed means brighter lights are needed to get the required DLI. Since then I've been creeping VPD back up to 1.0, and for the past 48 hours she's been fine. She's also drinking plenty, as her 1 gallon base was empty today and had to be refilled with water and a small amount of nutrients. Not a bad appetite for being so young still.
No sign yet of any pre-flowers, so this is likely a female. 12/12 from seed males tend to show by now when they're this vigorous. The tardiest male I've seen when starting 12/12 was 28 days, and it ended up being a male herm. because of that risk, day 24 is my cut off point for males.
