Nitrifier Very lousy setup: by the window, random soil for flowers, tap water with pH 8.1 used for watering (unbeknownst to me at the time).

Nitrifier Completely stunt growth. Up to this point, no nutrients were ever added. And tap water (no chlorine) with high pH (8.1) was being used, probably shutting down access to all nutrients.

Nitrifier pH in the water was regulated and nutrients started being added (common mix from local flower shop). Finally some development was noticed. But still way behind.

Nitrifier If I understand correctly, an auto should start flowering no matter what after 5 weeks or so. But these plants have had it so rough that I don’t see any indication of bud formation

Nitrifier No sings of flowering yet. Maybe I messed up this auto with the rough initial conditions. This week they received a nutrient solution made by myself including NPK levels (for transition) and silicon. The 18hr light cycle has been an estimate of what they’ve been getting naturally.

Grow Questions
Nitrifier
Nitrifierstarted grow question 2mo ago
They say an auto is programmed to flower after a given number of weeks. Clearly that’s not my case. Who has experienced an auto with delayed flowering and what are the reasons?

It is the case. If they don't flip to flower on their own without giving them extended non-interrupted darkness, then it is either a mispackaged product (a photoperiod) or they didn't follow the basic procedure to breed autoflower seeds. 6 weeks is most likely not an autoflower if you don't see signs of flowering yet. Some "XL" autos are bred to maximize traits that prolong vege phase so you get a bigger plant. These plants are relatively healthy, so i doubt stress is related. If they don't show pistils at terminal buds in th enext week or so, starting giving it 12h of uninterrupted darkness. You likely have a photoperiod that was mispackaged or the breeder fucked up something else in the process. Can only speculate.

Nitrifier Got a greenhouse tent, and a lamp. I made sure all this week they got a 12:12 light regime to see if flowering can happen any earlier (I will travel in a bit over a month). They look overall healthy, though I don’t have the experience to judge if flowering has really begun.

Nitrifier Ventilation and smell control was improved. Unfortunately weather has been colder this week (15-24C). Now fearing that my light is not enough, hence some leaves were trimmed.

Nitrifier Not much flower development. Significant stretch though. Leaf clawing and burning suggest nitrogen burn, which makes sense since I’ve been feeding transition nutrients instead of bloom.

Nitrifier Very slow flowering… or maybe I started counting too early. Kept working on making silver interior walls, investing in a better lamp, and keeping invasive bugs away.

Nitrifier One of the two plants is getting ahead, so I will focus on that one (the other one seems a week or so behind). I got a thermometer/hydrometer, humidity is around 35%, while temperature ranges from 14-25 throughout the week.

Nitrifier No defoliation at all. Just witnessing development. Still adding nutrients. I’m going on a trip of 5 days and I fear my plants won’t get enough darkness (something is going on with my LED lamp, the timer, and the electrical setup)
