Germination
2d ago
Baileys2611 Day 4: Germination day 4. The adventure begins again. The one on the right has germinated nicely. I can see: * The hypocotyl (the little stem) has pushed through the peat pod. * The cotyledons (seed leaves) are just starting to separate. * The seed coat has already come off, which is ideal. The sister has still to get out of bed, but I’m not worried about that yet. Another 4 days wait until I start to investigate. Temperature: 23 RH: 70% VPD: 0.8 Light setting/PPFD: 25% / 100 Water volume: None added Input pH/EC: 6.2 / 0 Runoff pH/EC: N/A Pot weight: 100g The one on the left hasn’t emerged yet, but that’s completely normal. Even seeds from the same packet can differ by 24–72 hours in emergence. Edit: 72 hours later and it is clear this seed is not going to germinate. But that’s why we buy spares, to keep the run going even if one fails from time to time. So, I’m attempting another seed so that there are two plants in the tent. Things are always better with a sister around to support you. #aussiehempseeds
