PapaTerps Sugar Rock - Silent Seeds
SUMMER is upon us and grows that were started around March have been harvested - that means I have empty tents! So I've decided to start another grow for this Summer and into Autumn. π
For this grow, I've selected the strain "Sugar Rock" by Silent Seeds feat. Cookies (Cereal Milk x Fruity Pebbles OG) - I chose this strain for her fruity/cookie flavours, it's stimulating/euphoric properties and also for her Cereal Milk genetics!
I will be vegging her for about 4 weeks in a 5L fabric pot, and I'll use a mixture of techniques to get get as much yield as possible in the timeframe and pot size. You're all more than welcome to follow along, I will try to detail my process without overloading the diary ππ»
Day 1 (17/07)
- Seed dropped into a small metal screw tin filled with RO Tap water pH'd to 6.3 and stored in a dark warm room - she will remain here until the seed pops and a taproot appears; I will check the progress of the seed every ~12 hours.
Day 3
- The seed has popped and a taproot has appeared, so I've filled a small 0.3L paper starter pot with some All-Mix and dropped the seed in!
Day 5
- The seedling has already appeared from the soil, with her two starter leaves already searching for light.
Day 8
- she has grown her starter leaves and is working on her first set of fan leaves! I will soon move her from this starter pot into her main grow pot; a 5L fabric pot ππ»

βοΈ I've removed her lowest most fan leaves and bud sites as they were too far from the canopy, but other than that, she's been left to grow!
π± Week 3 of Veg, and she's working hard on developing her main stem as well as growing out her side stems! I won't be training this one and she'll be put into flower in the next couple of weeks ππ»

Week 1 Bloom
πΈ She was flipped on 14/08, so she's a few days into bloom how - she has started to stretch, but she is also turning more of a bush than a tree; if you know what I mean - I'll monitor closely for the next few days and look for signs of deficiencies or pests. I've also moved these girls out of the 5x5 this week as there just wasn't enough space for them in there.
βοΈ No work on her this week, I refrain from stressing my girls as much as possible during this phase πͺπ»
πΏ Watered every three days this week, with 1.5L of RO water, with nutrients mixed individually, in order and then finally, I ph'd the solution to 6.3. I've switch out her veg nutrients now for bloom nutrients; these volumes will slowly be increased over the next couple of weeks depending on her needs.

Week 2 of Bloom
πΈ Great week for the Sugar Rock, she completed her stretch and is now working hard on developing her budsites! She has stayed small because of her topping, but so have two of the other girls, so her canopy will be easy enough to manage. No signs of deficiencies or ailments π€π»
βοΈ I've removed all fan leaves stems and budsites below the canopy, to prevent any deasese mould or herming from happening. I will try to leave her now for a few weeks so she can focus on developing her flower.
π§ Watered every three days this week, with 2L of RO water, with nutrients mixed individually, in order and then finally, I pH'd the solution to 6.3. I've increased her nutrients once again to keep up with her demands.

Week 3 of Bloom
πΈ She's the smallest girl in the tent, so I've had to prop her up towards the light, but she looks great and is working hard on developing her flowerπͺπ» From today, all the girls have been moved into a 8x4 tent, because the 5x5 has been hard to manage.
βοΈ No work on her this week, I'm just letting her grow.
π§ Watered every three days with 2L of RO water, with nutrients mixed individually, in order and then finally, I pH'd the solution to 6.3. I've increased all of her nutrients, now that she is focusing on developing her flower, she'll need it.

Week 4 Bloom
πΈ She has developed her flower really well and she has started to bulk up! She is very bushy, so I'll need to remove some of her sugar leaves around her flower to improve light penetration, but that'll be a task for another day. Her smell is also there in abundance, and reminds me of sweet fruity cookies. All the girls have been moved into the Spider Farmer 8x4, because the 5x5 and 4x2 were too difficult to manage ππ»
βοΈ No work this week, but she'll need it in the coming daysππ»
π§ Watered every three days with 3L of RO water - nutrients were mixed individually, in order and then finally pH'd to 6.3. I've increased her nutrients again to keep up with her flower production.
