@kohlrabi, I completely agree. If the seedlings stay in the bag for too long, the roots start sticking to the paper towel almost immediately.
I’ll take a photo when I take them out so you can see exactly what I mean. 😊
@HandsomeTerpz, so you only use the bags and water? Nothing else?
So far, my sprouts haven't stuck to the paper. Maybe I have a good amount of water in play 😁.
The risk of damaging the roots exists with this method too, right?
By the way, you selected the wrong strain in the diary. The Dr. Bruce B CBD is available to choose from.
My container of choice is a small Tupperware with paper towels and a good splash of water.
If they want to germinate, that happens after 1-2 days.
If not... well...
@Webacca, i,
No, I use a folded paper towel inside the Ziplock bag and place the seed between the layers so it stays evenly moist during germination.
You can use pretty much any Ziplock bag you like. I just happened to use the black ones because I had them on hand, and they're light-proof, which is a nice bonus.
And you're absolutely right—the strain listed in my diary isn't the correct one. I actually did that on purpose. I need to talk to the Sensible Seeds team because several of their genetics are missing from the GrowDiaries library. In theory, I can add a custom strain name, but that usually causes problems later when the diary needs to be linked to the correct genetic.
Hopefully, they'll add the missing strains soon, as it makes everything much easier.
