CanOli95 Welcome to my Blueberry Diary. In this project, only small 3.5-liter pots are used to keep the plants as small as possible. I deliberately chose regular seeds for several reasons. One reason is the preservation of the genetics, as they were sold out for a while, and I will later sacrifice a female plant for open pollination (in a small indoor tent). On the other hand, I am specifically looking for 3 males in this stage to pair them with separate branches of my CBD Auto Blackberry Kush. Since the mother remains the same, I can check which traits are inherited from the males. This will also tell me how pure the line is in its characteristics. Another point I really appreciate is that Durch passion lists the most common terpenes directly on the website, and they offer an interesting combination. By crossing with the CBD Auto BBK, I hope for an interesting combination that contains a slightly lower THC content and is worth experimenting with further. In the photos, you can see, even if not optimally displayed, that they are already showing male and female pre-flowers. We currently have about 16 hours of sunlight.

CanOli95 What a week. It's really extremely hot outside in some places, which not all plants have handled well. Fortunately, it seems that only one plant is affected more strongly. The females are showing their pre-flowers nicely, and one male is already looking very promising. While the other males are still sporadically forming their pollen sacs, one plant is already showing proper clusters. Furthermore, it's already compact, and during the stem-rub test, a sweet-spicy smell comes out. You can slowly tell that the pots are getting too small because the plants are gradually but surely lightening up... the Plagron Alga Grow isn't keeping up despite maximum dosage, so tomorrow there will be a mineral, stronger fertilization. So far, I'm very satisfied and hope that the females will bless me with beautiful trichomes and blueberry terpenes.

CanOli95 Unfortunately, there was also a very cold week here. We are already experiencing daytime and nighttime temperatures of 14 degrees or below at times. I've now placed the males in a separate tent so they don't pollinate my outdoor plants. One of the males really stands out to me. He is very fast and already has a strong smell. The females are finally starting to develop massive pre-flowers. I think it would go faster if it were warmer. I'm curious to see what happens next.

Good luck with the pollination. I'm collecting the pollen and freezing it. So far, it's going really well. The Durban Poison pollen from last year worked perfectly this year.

@birdmountain, very interesting to hear, then I guess I'll do the same. I wish you lots of success with your projects too 🤞

@CanOli95, let the pollen dry in the shade for at least 24 hours beforehand.
