therealgrowmie New diary, new genetics, new obsession. 😄 This round starts with three Kali Dog feminized seeds from Royal Queen Seeds. All three are going in together, and I’m curious to see how much variation shows up between them.
Kali Dog is an old-school Chemdawg × Sour Diesel cross, sitting at roughly 55% sativa / 45% indica. RQS lists her at up to 18% THC, with a 55–65 day flowering period and an indoor potential around 450–500g/m². Expect plenty of that classic citrus, diesel, skunk and herbal funk, followed by a clear and uplifting effect.
She also has a reputation for stretching once flowering starts and producing particularly dense flowers, so canopy management and humidity control should become important later in the run.
For germination/early seedling growth at 28°C, I’d start around 75% RH, which gives an air VPD of approximately 0.85 kPa—a gentle starting environment before gradually increasing VPD as the plants establish.

therealgrowmie All three seeds germinated successfully and are now above soil. 3/3 — exactly the start I was hoping for. 🙌
They’re still very young and a little leggy at the moment, so the focus this week is simply establishing roots and getting them settled. First true leaves are coming in and all three seedlings look ready to get moving.
These are Kali Dog by Royal Queen Seeds — Chemdawg × Sour Diesel, so I’m especially curious to see how much variation we get between the three as they develop. Later on I’m expecting some serious stretch, diesel/skunk character and hopefully three very different expressions to compare.

therealgrowmie The three Kali Dogs have officially moved into their next homes. 🐕🌱
Freshly repotted and already looking much more established than last week. All three are pushing new growth nicely, although there’s a little variation between them — exactly what makes running several plants from seed interesting.
They’re still young, so the priority right now is simply letting the roots colonize the fresh medium and giving them some time to settle after the transplant. Nothing fancy yet. The real fun with these Kali Dogs comes once they’ve built a solid foundation.
Really curious to see how much variation shows up between the three as they develop.

therealgrowmie The Kali Dog is settling in nicely and putting out healthy new growth. She’s still compact at this stage, with a sturdy main stem and good spacing between nodes. The newest leaves are coming in fresh and vigorous, so the focus for now is simply keeping the environment stable and letting the root system build.
There’s a little bit of lighter color on some of the older growth, but nothing that looks alarming at this point. I’m mainly watching how she responds over the next week as the roots fill the pot and vegetative growth starts accelerating.
