therealgrowmie New diary, new genetics, new obsession. 😄 This round starts with three Kali Dog feminized seeds from Royal Queen Seeds. All three are going in together, and I’m curious to see how much variation shows up between them. Kali Dog is an old-school Chemdawg × Sour Diesel cross, sitting at roughly 55% sativa / 45% indica. RQS lists her at up to 18% THC, with a 55–65 day flowering period and an indoor potential around 450–500g/m². Expect plenty of that classic citrus, diesel, skunk and herbal funk, followed by a clear and uplifting effect. She also has a reputation for stretching once flowering starts and producing particularly dense flowers, so canopy management and humidity control should become important later in the run. For germination/early seedling growth at 28°C, I’d start around 75% RH, which gives an air VPD of approximately 0.85 kPa—a gentle starting environment before gradually increasing VPD as the plants establish. Starting stats: 🌡️ 28°C | 💧 75% RH | 💨 VPD ≈ 0.85 kPa | 🌱 3× Kali Dog | Chemdawg × Sour Diesel | 🌿 Photoperiod | 📅 Day 1 — Germination

therealgrowmie All three seeds germinated successfully and are now above soil. 3/3 — exactly the start I was hoping for. 🙌 They’re still very young and a little leggy at the moment, so the focus this week is simply establishing roots and getting them settled. First true leaves are coming in and all three seedlings look ready to get moving. These are Kali Dog by Royal Queen Seeds — Chemdawg × Sour Diesel, so I’m especially curious to see how much variation we get between the three as they develop. Later on I’m expecting some serious stretch, diesel/skunk character and hopefully three very different expressions to compare. Week 1 stats: 🌱 Germination: 3/3 🌡️ Temp: 28°C 💧 RH: ~75% 💨 VPD: ~0.85 kPa 💡 Light: Gentle seedling intensity 🕒 Schedule: 18/6

therealgrowmie The three Kali Dogs have officially moved into their next homes. 🐕🌱 Freshly repotted and already looking much more established than last week. All three are pushing new growth nicely, although there’s a little variation between them — exactly what makes running several plants from seed interesting. They’re still young, so the priority right now is simply letting the roots colonize the fresh medium and giving them some time to settle after the transplant. Nothing fancy yet. The real fun with these Kali Dogs comes once they’ve built a solid foundation. Really curious to see how much variation shows up between the three as they develop. 📊 Current Stats 🌡️ Day: 28°C 🌙 Night: 23°C 💧 RH: ~70% 💨 VPD: ~1.1 kPa ☀️ Light cycle: 18/6 🌱 Stage: Early veg ? Status: Freshly repotted

therealgrowmie The Kali Dog is settling in nicely and putting out healthy new growth. She’s still compact at this stage, with a sturdy main stem and good spacing between nodes. The newest leaves are coming in fresh and vigorous, so the focus for now is simply keeping the environment stable and letting the root system build. There’s a little bit of lighter color on some of the older growth, but nothing that looks alarming at this point. I’m mainly watching how she responds over the next week as the roots fill the pot and vegetative growth starts accelerating.

therealgrowmie Since the repot they’ve settled in nicely and started throwing out some proper leaves. The difference between them is already fun to watch — one is trying to become a dinner plate, another is reaching for the ceiling, and the third appears to be quietly plotting something in the back. 😂 They’re still a little awkward and lanky from their seedling days, but the new growth is looking much stronger. Now that the roots have some room, I’m expecting them to start picking up speed. 📊 Current stats 🌡️ Day: ~28°C 💧 RH: ~70% 💨 VPD: ~1.1 kPa 💡 Light: 18/6

therealgrowmie Kali Dog is really starting to take off now. She’s well past the establishment phase and is putting on much stronger vertical and lateral growth. I’ve topped her and transplanted her into the larger pot, so right now the focus is on letting the root system settle in while the side branches take over and build a wider structure. The main stem is thickening nicely, the new growth looks healthy, and the branching pattern is starting to look much more suitable for an even canopy. A little droop remains on some of the older lower leaves, but the fresh growth looks strong, so I’m not too concerned at this point. Current stats 🌱 Strain: Kali Dog 🌿 Stage: Vegetative growth 🌡️ Temperature: 28°C 💧 RH: 70% 📈 VPD: ~1.13 kPa 💡 Light cycle: 18/6 ✂️ Focus: Structure + branching 🎯 Next goal: Build a wide, even canopy before flower At 28°C / 70% RH, ~1.1 kPa VPD is a very comfortable veg environment assuming leaf temperature is close to room temperature.

therealgrowmie The Kali Dogs finally escaped the propagation jungle. 😅 The tent became way too crowded, and some leaves ended up sitting far too close to the lamp. Result: a few crispy brown/light-burned patches. The damaged tissue is staying, but fresh growth looks healthy after moving them into the bigger tent. From here I’m focusing mainly on keeping the environment stable and using VPD as the main climate reference rather than chasing temperature and RH independently. Current targets: 🌡️ 27–28°C 💧 70–75% RH 📈 VPD ≈ 0.9–1.0 kPa 💡 18/6 ? Soil ✂️ Topped & trained They've got considerably more breathing room now, so the goal is a stable ~1.0 kPa VPD, good airflow and some uncomplicated veg time before the next round of training.

therealgrowmie Quite a bit happened this week. The Kali Dogs were repotted and moved into the bigger grow space, giving them some much-needed room to spread out. They handled the move pretty well and are already settling into their new home. 🌿 With the extra space available, I finally started SCROG training properly. Branches are being spread across the net and tucked into open squares to start building a wider, more even canopy. A few clips are helping persuade the more stubborn branches to go where I want them. I also did some defoliation, mainly removing older/damaged leaves and opening up crowded areas so light and airflow can reach the developing shoots. They look a little stripped and chaotic immediately after all the work, but there are plenty of healthy new growth points coming through. 🌡️ Temp: 25°C 💧 RH: 65% ☁️ VPD: ~1.11 kPa (assuming leaf temp ≈ air temp)
