ctm_dzagi **Strain:** Sour Puffs photo fem by Doctor's Choice The name says it all: a sour, aromatic strain with a smooth and pleasant smoke. **Genetics:** Northern Light × Sour Diesel × Thailand Sativa A sativa-dominant hybrid (approximately 65% sativa). **THC:** High **Flavor:** bittersweet + diesel + apricot + citrus. **Effects:** balanced — first comes a light uplifting and energetic feeling, followed by calmness and relaxation (described as “floating on clouds”). Sour Puffs is a photoperiod hybrid with a slight sativa dominance, known for its fast growth. The plant grows like a typical hybrid: medium height, with uniform stems and numerous side branches. The buds are elongated, dense, and rock-hard, with a distinctive sour aroma. Flavor & Effects One of the defining features of the feminized Sour Puffs strain is its distinctive taste and aroma. Its unique terpene profile provides a smooth and enjoyable smoke. Sour Puffs has a strong bittersweet aftertaste with a tangy citrus edge and diesel notes. Despite its distinctive flavor, Sour Puffs is undoubtedly one of the smoothest and most refined strains in our catalog. Growers who appreciate a rich and complex flavor profile will certainly appreciate this strain. Sour Puffs has high THC levels and delivers a balanced combination of a head high and a relaxing stone effect. From the first inhale, you can feel an uplifting rush of energy and a mild psychedelic sensation, creating the feeling that you are floating somewhere among the clouds. Soon after, a relaxing stone effect sets in, gently carrying you toward a state of peace and relaxation. Sour Puffs is an ideal choice for an enjoyable daytime smoke, offering a diverse range of sensations and emotions. Thanks to Sasha Doctor's team for the generous gift! Considering full-time work throughout the day and living in an apartment in a major city, it is difficult to imagine any outdoor grow that could be genuinely practical and responsible. In this case, the only option is to pretend to be part of Babylon while remaining invisible in plain sight. In my view, the answer to this riddle is a stealth micro-grow built into a PC case, since this form factor provides a perfectly plausible explanation for the presence of ventilation. Moreover, by using an all-in-one PC or concealing the actual PC components, you can seamlessly integrate the grow box into the observer’s everyday surroundings. Even the fact that the case is closed and its internal components are inaccessible is completely justified and beyond suspicion by the simple fact that the key has not been lost (a much more plausible story than a humming cabinet or a locked refrigerator). Grow box dimensions: External: 67 × 20.5 × 54 cm / Usable volume: 50 × 20 × 43.5 cm. The lighting is controlled independently for each of the four channels via an iOS app. The cooling fan speed is regulated through PWM controllers with temperature sensors according to predefined temperature settings. The lighting system and the grow chamber are equipped with two independent ventilation circuits and are completely thermally isolated from each other.

ctm_dzagi Today was our first training session. I rotated the plant 90 degrees to redirect the first shoots backwards. We’re running purely on white light now — removed the blue, left the white untouched. Color rendering is now perfect, and the runoff EC has reached the target range. Started bending. The main goal is to get the first two levels into a single plane. Important: Don’t train the plant after watering, after spraying, or at the beginning of the light cycle. Train when turgor pressure is at its highest, similar to a firm morning erection. The best time is towards the end of the light cycle, before watering. I simply need 8 identical shoots at symmetrical positions, 4 per row. We’ll see what further rearrangements will get us there. The first training session went quite well, despite the fact that there’s virtually no real tier structure yet. The third pair has appeared. Finally, the little one has started feeding. We’ll stick with the same nutrient mix until the runoff EC drops below the input solution. Secured it with a clip. I’ll leave the center alone for a couple of days, then top it. Spread the leaves apart, exposed the shoots to light, and brought the fourth and final pair into the plane of the pot.

ctm_dzagi The most challenging stage of the grow has begun. The stakes are high, and the plant’s configuration is completely contrary to its natural growth pattern. Breaking off any of the shoots would be incredibly easy; one wrong move and we’re in trouble. The main top has already been topped, so there’s no backup option. There are exactly twice as many shoots as the plant would naturally produce in its morphology, and they’re competing with each other. And, as a reminder, we need 8 equally developed shoots. At this stage, patience and precision are everything. Yes, I could have kept some backups and avoided topping, but we’re taking the shortest possible route. Otherwise, I could have simply used conventional mainlining to create 8 cola sites in 25–27 days, but I don’t have that kind of time. Our deadline is New Year’s Eve. The training started with removing the secondary colas using DZO. Next, I carried out the previously announced repositioning: first, I dug a hole, then inserted my hand from the opposite side and shifted the plant together with the coco. Now it’s exactly where it needs to be, taking into account the growth dynamics of all the shoots. And finally, the training itself: I slightly restricted the first two levels, and now we’re waiting for the last two to catch up. I increased the white light intensity to 84 watts on the driver, which gave me 48,000 lux. I’m not happy with the decrease in water consumption, so I want to see how the plant responds. Let me explain how the whole setup works and what the tubes are for. I alternately run suction and discharge through them using the pump, while the second tube equalizes the pressure. The pump is currently USB-powered. One important note: if you decide to use this setup, don’t forget to install a filter, otherwise you’ll have a nightmare taking everything apart and cleaning it. This one is from a portable heater. A new battery-powered pump is already on its way; using a power bank for this isn’t particularly convenient. The main thing is that I’m not seeing any signs of the plant’s overnight nightmare: 294 watts of white light and a temperature of 34°C, which it endured today instead of getting any sleep. Apparently, my breathing nearby helped (CO₂ 1,000 ppm).

ctm_dzagi Today I dosed at 1.5 ml per litre. Tomorrow I’m thinking of mixing it at 2 ml. All 8 shoots are now visible. I spotted a single fungus gnat on the surface of the coco. I didn’t notice any in the grow room, but in the living room, around the only light source, I killed another 8 or so. I think it might be worth switching on a fumigator for a day. Perhaps the stronger smell is a response to the gnats... I’m making the nutrient solution stronger, but it’s still not enough. Tomorrow I’ll increase the EC to 1.7. The first photo was taken before training. The second photo is after. I removed around a dozen small leaves, repositioned the first clip and added another one. The priority is still the first two shoots. The ring is approximately one-third full. Today I mixed at 2.2 ml per litre, producing a nice, rich nutrient solution with an EC of 1.7. Let me explain my current watering method. Two litres neatly fill the coco surface flush to the rim. Then I use a 550 ml syringe. I’ve completely abandoned the pump because this technique doesn’t work with it. I take the plunger and push half a litre of nutrient solution back and forth, flushing the entire volume of coco with fresh solution about five times. You should hear how deliciously it sounds — she’s practically smacking her lips with pleasure! And then another training session. I’m continuing my attempts to boost apical dominance in the first two shoots, although the results aren’t particularly impressive so far. I also applied Simplex Vega as a foliar spray during the day, following the recommended frequency of once a week. Overall, after opening my three previous grow journals side by side, it’s obvious that the current one is progressing the best in terms of development dynamics. I think another couple of days and all the shoots will be in their starting positions. In fact, we currently have only one lagging shoot. I left it alone today to let it take the lead for a day. All shoots except the two earliest ones have taken their positions. This morning I increased the white light to 102 W and added 35 W of side lighting. Things are heating up! The plant drank a litre of nutrient solution today. Tomorrow I’ll be preparing 2.5 litres. I removed a significant amount of foliage, getting ready to secure the shoots in their positions and cover the surface with zeolite.

ctm_dzagi For me, this result on day 29 is a personal record. I can confidently say that Sasha Doctor and Simplex have delivered. We’ve moved to Neptune now ) Blue light at the bottom: 75 W, white light from the ceiling fixture: 50 W, and 20 W on each of the doors. 75,000 lux at canopy level, and 40,000 lux right up against the doors. Removed all the leaves that weren’t feeding the young shoots. Beautiful. One of my favourite moments. Watering as usual: I fill it above the level of the pot and then remove everything using a syringe through the tube. Today, in addition to the main nutrients, I added Vitas (vitamins) to the solution and applied Power (chitosan) from Simplex as a foliar spray. Lowered the shelf slightly to improve side lighting. Switched to 12/12 after an extended light cycle. The lights will stay on until 10 a.m. tomorrow, after which the 12-hour dark period will begin. I tried to weigh up the pros and cons of keeping it in veg a little longer. The cons clearly outweighed the pros. First and foremost, I’ll be spending New Year’s in another city. Secondly, I don’t like trying to fit something where it simply won’t fit. I’ve already cut the bottom rim off the BluDream saucer because even those 2 centimetres were getting in the way when putting the plant in and taking it out. And finally, 30 days of veg has become something of a tradition for me. Growth is looking good. It’s drinking a litre a day, and it took 2.7 litres to fill the pot right to the brim. The battery-powered pump has arrived. Completely silent when running with water. I installed an inlet filter. Very convenient. Since I started using Simplex Taste, the runoff has been trending down. Today I used slightly more than the recommended dose, and there was no need for pH Down at all. Some of the leaves hanging over the edge of the pot are pressed directly against the side lighting. For now, I’m thinking of leaving them, although I’m really tempted to remove them. And yes, we have a girl! Not exactly a huge surprise, but I wanted to show the sex on the second day of 12/12. Quite a quick result. As I predicted earlier, with the start of flowering, the runoff pH drops sharply. But this is a familiar pattern, so I’ll keep the PPM within this range. Lowered the pot by just a couple of centimetres and cranked up the overhead lighting. We’re now at 105,000 lux from above and 80,000 lux from the sides. I really like this kind of runoff behaviour. It makes me feel relaxed and confident. The blue light is quite intense, though, and I’m even considering lowering it a little. On the other hand, the experiment itself is interesting. None of the AI models I tried could find anyone using blue light at this intensity and from such a short distance. I’m no longer pouring nutrient solution in from the top. I fill through one tube and extract it through the same one, switching the tubes around.
