Tropicanna Poison F1 Fast - Sweet Seeds

VysajBong 16.08.2026: Day 8 (Week 1, Day 1) So it's been exactly 8 days since germination, which means I'm officially calling this the start of Week 1. Just for some context on the setup: I'm currently pre-vegging these girls in an old wooden closet under a 45W Cosmos LED. My main tent is still full of Amnesias that will be chopped in about two weeks tops. Once the tent is clear, these Tropicannas will get moved in there under the Spider Farmer. After the early drama and losing two seeds, these two surviving girls are actually doing really well. I moved them into bigger pots and they didn't seem to care at all – zero transplant shock. The plant on the left is definitely doing better right now, the leaves are nice and symmetrical and she is just praying to the light. The right one is a bit behind and you can still see the yellow scar on the cotyledon from my "toothpick surgery" when the helmet got stuck. But her new leaves are totally fine and green. Quick note on feeding – I'm not using any nutes at all right now. Just giving them plain water with the pH dialed in between 5.8 and 6.2. I just want them to build a massive root system in these bigger pots before the big move to the main tent. Let's see how they go!

VysajBong 23.08.2026: Day 15 (Week 2, Day 1) So, week two is a wrap, and we had to do some interesting tactical maneuvers this time around. Just for some context on the setup: We are still pre-vegging in the old wooden closet under the 45W Cosmos LED. The main tent is currently acting as a drying room for my previous harvest, which is why these girls haven't been transplanted yet. I'm expecting the tent to be cleared out by mid-week so I can finally move them. As for the Tropicannas, there’s a massive size difference between the two girls now! The plant on the left is an absolute beast. Her leaves are completely flat, she is praying to the light, and her roots are already poking out the bottom of the cup. I decided to use this to my advantage – I’m leaving the bottom roots exposed to the dry air to intentionally cause "air-pruning". This naturally hits the brakes on her vertical growth and forces her to build a denser root mass inside the cup. It perfectly buys me the few extra days I need waiting for the main tent and gives the smaller sister a chance to catch up. The right one (the smaller girl) had a bit of a rough time. You can clearly see her leaves "tacoing" (curling up at the edges), which is a classic sign of light stress. I moved her away from the direct center of the LED to the side so she can chill and recover. She should flatten out in a day or two. Quick note on feeding and next steps: Still keeping it super light. Just small 50ml shots of water with a tiny drop of Advanced Nutrients (0.5ml/L). I'm doing zero runoff right now so the roots are forced to stretch and search for water. Once the main tent is empty mid-week, I'll be doing a deep clean of the space and the fabric pots, and then finally transplanting these two into their final homes. Let's see how they handle the big move!

VysajBong 30.08.2026: Day 22 (Week 3, Day 1) - The Big Move & A Great Comeback The drying room phase is officially done, the main Spider Farmer tent is cleared out and sanitized, which means it was time for a proper transplant. Moved both Tropicannas into their final fabric pots today and finally placed them under the main light—the Spider Farmer SE4500 (320W). The best news? The smaller girl—the one that had her seed shell (the "helmet") stuck and needed that delicate toothpick surgery early on—has completely bounced back. She really pushed hard, caught up to her stronger sister, and now they are both roughly the exact same size. Love to see that kind of recovery! Root check: Pulled them out of their starter cups and the root balls were perfect. Clean, strong, bright white roots that held the soil together nicely but hadn't started circling yet. Timing couldn't have been better. Environment & Light: Dialed in the tent to 26,5°C and 60% humidity. To avoid any transplant shock under the new light, the SE4500 is currently set to a gentle 20% power and hanging high at 60 cm above the canopy. Watering: Gave each pot around 140ml of water with a light mix of 0.5 ml/L Grow A+B. I split the watering—pouring some right by the stem and the rest in a wider ring around the plant. This forces the roots to stretch out and actively search for moisture, colonizing the new medium much faster. Next steps: Now it's all about letting them recover and veg in peace. We are just going to wait until they develop their 6th node, and then it will be time to start mainlining. The real fun is about to begin!

VysajBong 06.09.2026: Day 29 (Week 4, Day 1) - Humidity Hack & Prepping for the Chop This week was all about tweaking the environment and getting the girls ready for their first major stress event: the mainlining cut. Environment & Humidity: Humidity was hovering around 44%, even with the exhaust fan turned down to a minimum of 25%. Since I have hard tap water (pH 8-8.5), an ultrasonic humidifier isn't ideal. Instead, I raised the 22L fabric pots on empty Bambu Lab filament spools over water trays. This passive evaporation hack brought the humidity up to 50% so far, and it is still slowly climbing. Light & Growth: I also bumped up the Spider Farmer SE4500 light intensity from 20% to 35%. The girls are handling the increase beautifully and you can actually see them nicely reaching and stretching towards the light. Watering & Nutrients: The girls got 0.4L each today. I'm still watering in a wide ring to promote lateral root expansion (you can clearly see the wet ring in the pics). They are currently pushing their 5th and 6th nodes, so I introduced a proper cocktail today. Mixed strictly in this order: 1 ml/L Rhino Skin (silica always goes first!), followed by 1 ml/L Sensi Grow Coco A+B, and finished with 1 ml/L Sensizym. The silica is crucial right now—I need those stems to harden like concrete and remain flexible before I start tying them down next week. The pH Perfect Note: Even with Advanced Nutrients' "pH Perfect" technology, a 1 ml/L dose isn't enough to buffer my hard pH 8.5 tap water. I still manually adjusted it at the end of the mix with a little dry pH Down to hit my target of 5.9. Next steps: Both plants look great with zero tip burn. I'm thinking about making the first mainlining cut above the 4th node instead of the 3rd for a thicker foundation, but I'll decide when the time comes. Giving them a few days to absorb the silica, and then it's surgery time!
