SugarDanny007 I'm starting my first proper round with my favorite Watermelon strain. These girls will offer you a strong fruity aromatic experience when harvesting and smoking. I hope they turn out to be rockets as always. I want to document this first so I know what to improve for next time and can look back on it, while also sharing my experiences with others :) Let’s START IT On day 1, I took some water that had been sitting for 24 hours and threw in the seeds. They were on a heating mat with a thermostat set to 24°. Days 2-4, they were in a damp paper towel in a ziplock bag again on the heating pad with a thermostat. (Ventilate every day) Days 5-7, they were planted in smaller pots where it took them 2 days to straighten up. From this stage, I will start fertilizing next week. I watered about 100ml per girl with only adjusted pH. The light was 70cm above the pots and the brightness was set to 12DLI/about 200 ppfd. Light cycle 16/8. For the first 3 weeks, aside from this germination, they will all be under a 200W LED light, and at the beginning of week 4, they will be transplanted into final 20l pots where they will each have different lighting. SugarDanny007 So here we are at the end of the first week of growth :) I'm starting to fertilize lightly and in the next two weeks I'll be going full dose of 2ml/l Tarantula, Voodoo Juice, and Piranha. The girls have a beautiful color, so everything is as it should be so far 🌱 I've set the light intensity for this week to 16DLI at about 280ppfd. I'm looking forward to sharing more updates with you! 😎

Except for 2 that are stunted, which I'll put outside later anyway.. 👍 For this week, the light was set to 20 DLI around 350 ppfd. I'm looking forward to the flowering in 3 weeks when there will be something to do 😎

SugarDanny007 Hey, I totally forgot about the Thursday update, so I'm posting it late on Saturday, but the photos are from Thursday :D On Wednesday, so the day before the update, I already transplanted the girls since I had to water them twice a day and they already had a beautiful root ball. I'll be using additional nutrients like Pyrana, Tarantula, and Voodoo Juice for one more week to help them cope with the stress from transplanting. At the same time, I plan to do the first surgical procedure next week, which is topping. They look gorgeous, so we have something to look forward to during flowering! 🔥🌱🤩 The light is at 30 DLI / 520 ppfd. Let it grow!

SugarDanny007 This week I noticed burnt leaf tips, so the dosage for week 4 of growth at 2ml/l Sensi Grow was too much for most of the girls, so next time I'll stick to 1.5ml/l. For the next watering, I'll adjust and give only 1ml/l and then continue the whole week at 1.5 :) Last Wednesday (the day before the update), I transplanted the girls, and this week on the same day I did the first topping and also removed the bottom 2 tiers that would just weaken the girls. I topped at the 4th tier instead of the original 3rd. They're growing like crazy 💪🏽

SugarDanny007 Today I told myself that I shouldn't smoke while growing.. :DD because I noticed that I had CONSCIOUSLY set the light to a 16/8 cycle instead of 18/6, and as a result, I had a lot of light set up, and the girls showed me on the leaves that the edges were curling into a boat shape. So I left the light the same as last week, about 40DLI around 620ppfd, and set it to 18/6, and we'll see what happens :D This week I did more LST and defoliation. I know it looks terrible, but I want big, dense buds and not so-called "popcorn buds".. On purpose, I'm trying one experiment in a smaller tent, where I did 1 main top, and then like with all the others, I did a second top on two upper branches. In the smaller one with three, I intentionally topped a lower one, so we'll see if they become bigger bushes or if it harms them instead. We have to learn from mistakes, and I wanted to try this out of curiosity, so there will be updates from the two tents, making it even more interesting :)

SugarDanny007 We have the last week of vegetation ahead of us and we'll be switching to flowering, so the light schedule will be 12/12. Before taking photos, I did another LST training and noticed they already have a few of the first pistils, but I'm going to stretch the growth for another week. Maybe it's because when I go to water them, they happen to be in their dark period, and I have to turn the lights on for 15 minutes. I'll try to water only when they have light in the next grow. I won't overdo the growth length again because I expect the girls to stretch 2 to 3 times more, so they have space in the tent, but I hope they don't stay tiny xd. I don't know why, but a few of them have lighter green leaves; I don't think it's the nutrients since the new leaves have slightly burnt tips from the nutrients, and it's not from the light either. I'll try to measure the runoff pH during the next watering, but it should be fine; I keep each watering at 6.0, but it's possible that salts have built up and they're experiencing nutrient lock, I'll see that in the next week :)

SugarDanny007 This week I had a huge flush waiting for me, I have no idea how but out of curiosity I measured the runoff pH since the leaves seemed yellow but they had enough nutrients and the pH was 8, somewhere 7.8.. I flushed all of them with 60l of clean water at pH 5.5. Now they are at 6.1. And they have been flushed for 4 days and look great 😎 I wanted to switch to flowering tomorrow but I will give them another week of growth.

SugarDanny007 We finally have the first week of flowering! 😎 The girls are starting to stretch beautifully and are regaining their lovely green color after fixing the pH from 8 to 6.1 👌🏽 Next week, I’ll start dosing with Kushie Kush and remove the root stimulators. At the beginning of week 4 of flowering, I plan to do some defoliation to thin out the plants a bit and improve air circulation. So next week, I want to spread the girls out even more using LST to train them one last time🔥 Let it grow, growers! 🌱
