I had to reclone 6 clones that failed to thrive because I used mint flavoured toothpicks to stalk them up. I assume some chemical did something very bad. My clone rate has otherwise been excellent. Super weird. Another lesson learned.
I’ll have 10 plants with 4 colas each. They will be scheduled for harvest a week apart, as a result of the mint toothpick mishap.
I’ve been going easy on the nutes. Two waters for every nute. Keeping ppm’s down. I’m experimenting with how little I can use while achieving comparable growth to past grows.
I topped the plants but left 4 growth sites and bent them over with LST.
Almost ready to put the older half into flower, as I am harvesting Grow #2.
The two bigger plants in the photos are not CD-1 but pineapple chunk and dinamed cbd.
These plants will be less than 1.5-2 feet I imagine. I intend to Schwazz them 20 days into flower. All is swell enough.
Even with four colas each, I imagine I could do more next grow.
All of the Candida are in flower tent now. I decided to keep two plants for outdoor grow or mothering. So I’ll just have 10 plants. I’m hoping that 40 healthy colas emerge from this set up. The veg was minimal, so these won’t be beasts. But there’s strength in numbers.
Schwazzing went well. I’ve schwazzed three strains so far - CD1, Pineapple Chunk, Dinamed CBD - and they all do well by it. In a small tent it really helps to get air flow and light penetration.
Doesn’t make a huge difference in terms of yield, but increases ability to cram mainlined colas in a small tent.
Buds are getting ripe. Pistils are 75% brown and trichomes on buds have amber and are cloudy and sugar leaves have 30% amber. Flushing next week for a few days then chopping.
