Miketama Soil Preparation & Organic Amending (20L Fabric Pots)
Recycled Substrate Base: Reconditioned 15L of used light-mix soil per pot.
Nutrient Dry Mix: Thoroughly mixed 110g of Monster Bud Mix, 40ml of Startrex, 20g of Bat Guano, 3g of Mycorrhiza, and 1–2 handfuls of fresh worm castings (humus) into the lower 15L substrate layer.
Slow-Release Core: Placed 1 BioTab per pot at a depth of 10cm within the lower layer, positioned well away from the central stem.
Biological Activation (Lower Layer): Activated the microflora in the old substrate using a solution of Bactrex and Orgatrex, bringing soil moisture to approximately 25% Water Holding Capacity.
Fresh Top Layer Buffer: Covered the amended base with 5L of fresh, unamended Light-Mix soil to create a safe zone for early growth.
Planting Hole & Seedling Zone: Added 3g of Mycotrex directly into the seeding hole and lightly watered the top layer with a diluted Bactrex and Orgatrex solution for instant, safe mycorrhizal colonization.
Irrigation & Nutrient Management Strategy
Base Regime: Water-only routine using decanted tap water for standard daily watering.

Miketama Week 2 Vegetative Summary (Day 17 Plants)
Foliar Nutrition (Vita Race):
Spraying Vita Race supplies organic iron and key trace elements directly through the leaves. This boosts chlorophyll synthesis, accelerates photosynthesis, and deepens greening to maximize energy production right before the stretch.
Light Metrics & DLI:
Operating on a 22/2 schedule at 220–250 PPFD, the plants receive a DLI of ~17–19 mol/m²/day. This long photoperiod provides steady daily energy while keeping heat under control and avoiding light stress.
Canopy & Structure:
The 17-day-old plants are actively establishing their 3rd and 4th nodes with full multi-fingered leaves, building a broad surface area to capture light as they approach the transition phase.
Root Development:
Root growth in the 20L pots is accelerating rapidly underground, anchoring the plants and building the capacity needed for upcoming heavy nutrient uptake.
Next Phase Setup:
With a strong root structure and healthy foliage established, these plants are fully primed to handle a gradual increase in PPFD (towards 300+ µmol) as they enter their pre-flower stretch in the coming days.
@James Thanks James! It’s always a true pleasure growing RQS genetics, they never fail to deliver. Super hyped to have you guys following along for this run! 🙌🌱
