tony_kiffton It germinated quickly and shed the seed coat by itself - so far, so good! End of week 1: so far, so good... only watered with water until now...

tony_kiffton The first week is done – and the Studio Cherry is kicking off its second week of life with vigor. After a successful start, it has now established itself well and is sitting in its 0.9-liter pot with Floragard Professional Growmix. The first true leaves are fully developed, while the next generation of leaves is already vigorously forming in the center. The growth is compact, even, and vigorous, with a nice rich green color. At the same time, the active leaf area is increasing day by day – the plant is increasingly entering the right growth stage. Day 12 Today I transplanted the plant into the 8-liter final pot with rose soil. Seems to be a bit of a diva – something isn't quite right with the Studio Cherry at the moment. The root space was only modestly developed, and the overall appearance seemed a bit sparse compared to what I expected. So tomorrow, I’ll be going in with the macro lens to look for pests. I noticed some possible light feeding/sucking marks on a few leaves. Let’s see if we can actually find a culprit there.

tony_kiffton everything is going ... Day 16: Still couldn't find any pests today. Still applied predatory mites. Next watering will include Culinex / B.T.I. against the flyers... Day 18 The Studio Cherry has clearly stabilized after being repotted into the 8-liter final pot and is showing strong new growth. The young leaves are vibrant and have an intense green color. A slight tacoing is still visible on some leaves, but currently without any significant worsening. The previously weakly developed root ball seems to have slowed growth in the initial phase. Since repotting, a clear recovery and increasing development of the side shoots can be observed. Still, the soil is overall too rich at this stage... Day 21 Topped today - 8 shoots it shall be!

tony_kiffton Tag 22: After the one-time topping above the 4th node, the side shoots were lightly tied down to create eight evenly distributed main shoots. (Roasting string and folder clips)
