Zengrower Hey growmies! After a busy summer, I finally decided it was time to start a new grow in the Minigrow One Large. This time, I’m growing Fishy Zoap by Seedstockers—a strain I’ve had my eye on for quite some time. To be honest, it was mainly the name that first caught my attention. I’m always searching for new and unusual terpene experiences, and Fishy Zoap simply sounded far too intriguing to ignore. As Seedstockers puts it: “This strain explores the edge of flavour but lands in a completely different place. Expect modern candy-soap sweetness colliding with raw, funky undertones that challenge expectations and reward adventurous palates.” I mean… wow! That sounds pretty inviting, right? Or at the very least, like an adventure. So let’s find out how this lady performs in such a compact growing space—and what surprises she has in store for my nose. One thing I’ve noticed while growing in the Minigrow is that its compact environment seems to produce exceptionally terpy plants, almost as if the intense conditions encourage them to turn their terpene production up a notch. Pure bro science, of course, but it has been remarkably consistent throughout my last three Minigrow runs. Perhaps Fishy Zoap will take things to an entirely new level. I can’t wait to find out whether she lives up to that wonderfully weird name. Let the adventure begin!

Zengrower The Fishy Zoap grew steadily in the first week of veg. My main concern is to keep the soil moist but not too wet. Stay tuned for more pics later this week!

Zengrower Hey growmies! Time for another Fishy Zoap update! Three days ago, I switched the light schedule to 12/12. With the Minigrow, that is about as easy as it gets: simply select flowering mode, press start and let the cabinet take care of the rest. She has been growing nicely and is already developing plenty of side branches. This round, I’m also trying a training technique called tip spreading for the first time. By carefully pushing apart the tiny young leaves at the growing tips, the smaller growth underneath is exposed to the light much earlier. This encourages it to start developing straight away instead of remaining hidden beneath the leaves. So far, it genuinely seems to be working. The internodal spacing is visibly tighter, which is certainly no unnecessary luxury inside a Minigrow—every centimetre counts in there! It is fascinating to see how such a small and gentle intervention can influence the structure of the plant. I’ve been giving her Sugar Royal with every watering, and since switching to the 12/12 schedule, Power Buds has joined the menu as well. Now it is time to see how she responds to the flip and how much she decides to stretch. With all those side branches developing while her structure remains nice and compact, she is off to a very promising start!

Zengrower As I’m writing this update, we’ve reached the middle of the second week of flowering. Fishy Zoap is continuing to grow nicely and, more importantly, the tip-spreading experiment really seems to be working! Her internodal spacing remains impressively tight, giving her a beautiful compact and bushy structure. Inside a Minigrow, where every centimetre counts, that is exactly what I was hoping to see. The side branches are slowly but surely finding their way out from underneath the large fan leaves. I’m continuing my little tip-spreading routine twice a day, gently separating the tiny new leaves at each fresh growth tip. This exposes the new growth to the light earlier and seems to encourage the side branches to form their next internodes more quickly. It is such a small and gentle technique, but the difference is becoming clearly visible. So far, I’m very happy with the way she is shaping up: short, wide and filling the available space with plenty of fresh growth. Let’s see how she develops as the flowering stretch continues and the first buds begin to take shape!
