First autoflower run with Organic Living Soil. I am a novice grower so don't be shy to point out things that could be improved! Seed germinated straight in medium. All "days" are counted from planting seed. Light : KingPlus 1200w Trying out Living Soil that was purchased ( see ingredients above ). Feeding: Tap water dechlorinated/bubbled for 5-8h before use. CEC : 33 Original water holding : 64% added 5L perlite for more aeration as the soil was pretty dense. Hopping it won't affect the water retention too much. Happy growing!

Week 1 was as cruisy as it gets! Very happy so far, this seedling is the healthiest and quickest one out of all my previous experiences. Not expecting too much action above ground this week. Stay patient and happy growing!

Week 2 was pretty eventless. A slight over water didn't bring the seedling to it's full potential at this stage. Looking forward to some vegging action on the surface this week! Happy growing!

How is the girl looking? Am I being impatient? ( newbie over here ) Day 17... At this stage more stretch was expected as well as a more vigorous grow. ( light is higher than the recommended hight ) Watering 1L every week or so. She hasn't shown any sign of stress. Thank you.

Hey there Jonobo, i noticed some ever so slight nutrient burn on one of the leafs, that looks like a nothing thing but it probably held back your plant, and might have even stunted it forever. Next time you plant consider using normal garden soil or if you have to buy the soil then ask for the least amended soil , the one with the lowest NPK count (every soil has an NPK count on the package) . Anyway these still look okay to me, as you know these plants can take a while to lift off, but hopefully you'll have plenty of above ground action in the coming weeks. Hope this helps 🚀

During week 3 the girl suffered, not as much as her sister Northen light Auto ( check out my other diary ) from some overwatering, thanks to @CCgrow, I've learnt a great deal about living soil watering. Thanks heaps for your help bro. This week will be about waiting for the girl to recover and finally take off! Everything is set up for a nice bushy stretch, healthy colour, nice smell, great structure and for the first time my first 7 leafer is coming along! Looking forward to this week! patience patience.... Happy growing everyone.

1st day of week 5 and we have officially entered pre-flower! Plant has recovered from the overwatering and is now growing fast. Literally over night all the stems have grown drastically. I did her first LST to celebrate the end of Veg. She's been so short and bushy most of her bottom leaves are on the ground. I'll see how it all progresses and may remove them later on. I was planning on LSTing at day 30 but due to the slow growth I figured that exposing the new future bud sites asap wouldn't hurt and am very happy with it it looks promising. I also have started lowering the lamp to the appropriate ppfd levels ( at least from what the chart says.... can never be sure with these Chinese stuff so we're gonna take it slow... ) Looking forward to this week. Happy growing!

Week 5 was quite eventful with the flowers coming up quite quickly. Plant seems to have recovered from her initial slow growth and is now hopefully on an uphill. Plant is looking very healthy despite her tiny size, no visible deficiency, roots growing through the bottom of the pot are as healthy looking at is gets! Hopping for some flower stretch during this week. Finger crossed it could still happen. I feel like I am the only one hopping for a stretch when every other growers out there are battling it ahah! Lots of TLC for this week! Happy growing.

The stretch I was hopping for is now definitely not going to happen. This week is focused on giving the best chance for the buds to put on weight. ( not sure if it is possible with such a small plant that seems to have had a slow growth her whole life ) but hey, if I don't try ... I'll never know, there is still a few weeks left on that girl. Some gentle LST was applied to give maximum exposure to the bud sites. Now she is in full flower I have lowered the light and she seems to be loving it. Leaves perked up right away, small bud sites are increasing in size . Keep on growing and be patient.

Littles burn tips and some cracks are visible in the pictures on some older leaves. Are they nut burns? It is a fully living organic grow, no added nutrients what so ever only bubbled water.

Yes it is a mild nutrient burn. The dark green leaves show that it is a little heavy on nitrogen. Nothing to worry about. The plant looks healthy and happy. Just keep doing what you are doing and it looks like you will get some nice buds off her. Good luck finishing her up!

Despite what seemed like an early stage of light burn everything is on a roll. Flowers are developing, trichomes are slowly creeping on the sugar leaves. Lamp has been raised a bit and hopping for some bud fattening. Happy growing.

After such a small / slow growth I was not expecting the flowers to increase in size and thricomes that much. It is a great surprise in a noob growers journey. Stay patient and keep on growing.

Very happy and surprised with the flowers development even though the plant's small size. Everything has been on track, bud's leaves are all parking up and wondering if it is because the light is a bit too close. or if it is just the right amount as I haven't noticed any other signs. Content overall. Stay patient for harvest time and keep on growing.

I am a little ashamed to post this next to all these incredible grow diaries and incredible results but hey gotta start somewhere! 7.2g dry on the scale!!! off to curing. To my surprise I had to harvest when only roughly 20% of the hair were browning. All trichomes were cloudy and some started to turn amber. I have made many mistakes and learnt a lot during this grow. Growing for the first time with Living Organic was definitely a shift in thinking process that caused a very slow growth. The purchased soil proved to be extremely high in Nitrogen which will be taken in consideration in the future. Looking forward to the next one! The results are 100% unrelated to the strain nor breeder. I hope to give it justice one day and give an accurate feedback on the strain quality. In the mean time thank you very much for all the help from this platform. Will see you soon.

Thank you very much for the answers guys! @DILLIGAF I am using Living soil so not planning on using any nutrients. That being said, my plan was to top dress with Kelp and Neem during early flower as well as making some nice and rich compost tea ( worm casting, kelp, alfalfa all brewed together ) @CRiSPrGrow If you are talking about the little white tip on one of the leaves I noticed it as well, she grew with it from the start. It caught my attention as well. The soil is suppose to be perfectly fine ( not too hot ) for seedlings ... Would you guys recommend doing half regular soil and half amended soil next time? Thank you very much for your detailed answers guys, very much appreciated. Always a pleasure to get tips from top notch growers ;)

@Wicked_Stix, Thanks you for the support I was already expecting some tiny fluffy buds after such a slow/small growth. I will try to fix the issue for the next grow maybe doing a 50/50 Living soil / coco to lighten the soil

Looks like your going a little to hard with the N but water and shit I always burn my plants alittle to push them lol
Jonobo
Jonobocommented6 years ago
@Wizardgreen317, It's a pre made Organic living soil that I bought, first time trialing it. I presume the recipe was a bit heavy. Could that be the reason for the bushiness and slow growth?

Hello! I’m growing ilgm’s amnesia haze and my plant seems to also be very short. Much shorter than my ilgm blueberry auto! Very interesting to find your diary. It’s my first grow.
