Well this is my first outdoor grow and she had a big head start before planting outside. I started out with the intention to Flower her by herself indoor, but decided to put her outside and see how big she can get under the sun. She was upsized from a 5 Gall fabric pot to a 15 Gall fabric pot a week ago. She is doing well despite a few nights of just 6 deg celsius. I have to move her late afternoon to benefit with more sunlight. She is heavy but slides pretty good on the deck. Started supporting some stems with green soft wire ties as she is getting wide. Tomato cage is a good addition. Not sure if I have to do any topping, time will tell.
She is doing very well outside, I hade to start tying her branches and she reached the top of the tomato cage so I installed another cage on top upside down. She is 28” tall by 38” wide.
Well it was a hot and humid week and she just loves it. Getting taller and wider. Had to remove some large fan leaves to open her up a bit, she Wes getting to thick. I found a cluster of spider mites which I quickly removed and killed. I applied some Neem oil which I will start applying regularly now. Overall the outdoor grow is going well as long as I keep on top of the pests. Have a good week everyone 😎
Well we had a couple of bad storms this week, but she handled it. Still getting taller and wider. Don’t see anymore spider mites . I found a grasshopper, which I quickly removed and applied some more Neem oil which I will start applying regularly now. Overall the outdoor grow is going well as long as I keep on top of the pests. Have a good week everyone 😎
Well Its been hot and humid this week and she is loving it. She is growing nicely, continues to get wider and taller. Haven’t seen anymore pests, looks like the Neem oil is doing its job. Have a good week everyone 😎
Well another warm week and she is doing well. She was getting pretty thick and cluttered so I cleaned out the bottom and removed some smaller branches. Now she has room to breathe. I also installed another tomato cage making it 3 now, one on top of the other. Now I have somewhere for the yo-yo’s to hang. At her rate of growth, she’s going to be quite tall. All in all so far it’s a great grow. 3 - 4 more weeks and she should start flowering.
Well another week and all is going well, she is getting bigger by the week. She is as tall as me now, which is from the ground 5’ 6” and from the top of the soil 52”. Take a look at one of the pics, I’m pretty sure those are pistils , what do you think? Is Aug 04 too early for pistils for Ottawa ? If those are pistils, which I think they are, should be a mid October harvest. Starting to get excited, I love watching the flowers form. No matter how many grows you do, it’s always exciting when the pistils start showing. Have a good day everyone. 😎
It’s been a slow week with all the rain we had. She is very healthy and more pistils are showing. I cleaned up the lower shaded growth and some in the center, too much shade for them to be very productive. Not looking for pop corn nugs. Had to install a tarp on one side of the yard, neighbors back door light was shining on her last night, Don’t want her to hermi on me. Suppose to be a nice sunny week ahead. Should stretch some more and bud forming. Inter nodel spacing is very tight during the stretch, very nice to see. Have a great week all 😎
Well She is very healthy and more pistils are showing starting to look like buds. Suppose to be a nice sunny week ahead. Should stretch some more and Inter nodel spacing is very nice. Have a great week all 😎
Another week done and she is doing fine. Stretch has slowed a bit and buds are stacking nicely. Performed a light defoliation tonight and applied a neem oil foliar spray. She’s almost 5ft tall from the top of the soil and 5ft wide. If all goes well without any deficiencies or pests, I wonder what the yield will be. Any guesses or still too early to guess? Anyways have a great week and grow everyone 😎
Had a slow week with a few days of rain, but she is looking good aside from some noticed black tips. I checked the run-off which was high 2.7EC and the Ph was 5.42 I prepared some Phed water for a good flush, which I will do Tomorrow, no time Today. I’m sure she will be fine after a good flush and fresh nutes! Colas are looking very nice. Have a good week everyone 😎
Another week in the books and she is doing beautifully, had a couple days of rain so I decided to check the Ph of the rain and I couldn’t believe it was 6.8, not good for my coco mix. I had to move her off the deck, wasn’t getting enough sun light. She’s much better on the lawn and I hooked up a rain shelter on the tall fence wall, which is easily removed on nice days. Not too happy with the cool nights we’ve been getting lately 6 deg, but she’s handling it ok. Have a good week and grow everyone. 😎
Another week in the books and she is doing wonderful. Stopped adding super thrive and Silica this week. She is stacking nicely, colas are putting on weight and lots of trichomes. Seeing quite a few cloudy trichomes as well. Take a look at the pics. Had to start supporting quite a few branches due to the weight. I also had to brace the roof over her head with wire due to the strong winds Yesterday and Today. The smell is amazing when I walk outside. No signs of pests or caterpillars. I stopped spraying her with Neem oil a couple weeks ago and so far so good. I do inspect her every day though. Take care everyone. Happy growing 😎
Another week and it’s been very warm and sunny all week, nights were cool but the colas are getting nice and dense. Trichomes are getting nice and cloudy. I would like to see the side smaller colas get a little denser, but because of the location and angle of the sun, she’s only getting 6 hours of sunlight. She received her last feeding Today will start flushing on the next feed. Take a look at the trichomes and tell me what you think. Should I flush or wait a little longer ? Happy growing everyone 😎
Well I really liked that this strain was very easy to grow, very resistant to diseases or pests, handled topping and LST very well, I did notice that the bud density isn’t as dense as compared to Northern lights and Purple kush that I have grown. It probably would have been better if I could have moved it around the yard for more sunlight, but it was too big for that. It was only getting about 5-6 hours of sunlight for the last 3 weeks. I would have liked to go at least 1 or 2 more weeks, but I did find a small bit of bud rot in 1 cola and some light powdery mildew starting, So I chopped her down. If I grow outdoor again, it will be a smaller pot for ease of movement, perhaps 7 gallons. Although she became quite the beast in the 15 gallon pot. I ended up with 9 Oz of very nice buds and 8 Oz of popcorn buds. I also ended up with 1.5gr of finger hash.
