Blue Dream - Barney's Farm

sir_root 9/13/2026 - After taking the summer off, I am back. Making a couple of adjustments on this run. Trying to find a couple of inexpensive used lights to get me through another grow season, since I am still trying to get my cost per oz to a better level. Hoping I can get a Mars Hydro TSL or TSW 2000 series or two. Will run these from above and move my old lights down and build frames for them to put them on the floor and provide light from below. Also, I did modify my existing lights to move the drivers out of the tent. Should help me run things cooler. I don't have an AC option, but hoping that my basement temps will be cool enough to let me get some color popping in flower. Switching up the soil mix a bit on this run. Using FoxFarm Ocean Forest - first 1/3 of each pot. Mixing in Cali SuperSoil Amendment for the boost. Level off and fill to 50% with Ocean Forest and then switching to Happy Frog for the rest of the 5gal fabric pot. I also am planning on running nutes to the girls during flower. I didn't get the burst I was hoping for, but I also am pretty confident my lighting is underpowered. Doing a full run of Blue Dream from Barney's. Woot! Found someone selling two Mars Hydro TLS 2000 Lamps, already configured with the drivers detached and the lamps are daisy chained together for 0. Great deal and should get me through another year or so. Gonna pick them up tomorrow! 9/14/2026 - Lamps are installed. Love the little thumb screws to remove the drivers and controller boxes. These lamps daisy chain the control function, so they are in sync. I removed the drivers and control boxes and added a panel onto my distribution board, to keep the heat out of the tent. The old lights are still in there. I think I may use them for under canopy lighting later when things are really growing. In the meantime, the new lights are installed and ready to go. 1 of the three seeds just germinated. Moved them from the glass of water to a wet paper towel, which is in folded aluminum foil so it does not dry out. Put the packet on top of my seed tray, on the heating mat. I will check them tomorrow, hoping they are all ready to be put into the rooters. 9/16/2026 - A second seed germinated overnight. I popped it into a rooter and added a bit of moisture. One seed left to go. I am officially setting the light schedule today. 18/6 to start. Night is going to start at midnight until 6am, for this run. Pots are setup. Drip system is ready to go. Humidifier is cleaned and ready. I will get the AI program configured once the girls are all sprouts and starting to grow.
