Growth Short, stout seedling structure with tight spacing and good symmetry. The first true leaves are broadening nicely and the next set is developing cleanly from the center. No meaningful stretching is evident. Lighting / PPFD Shared tent lighting during Week 1. Actual seedling-level PPFD was in the roughly 175-225 range across the tent, with individual readings varying with plant height. No lighting increase was required for Rainbow Sundae during the first week. Feed / root zone Kept on the mild early-seedling program used across the tent, approximately 0.6-0.7 EC. The plant maintained healthy color and steady development without any sign that stronger feed was necessary during Week 1. Environment Stable seedling environment with no visible environmental stress. The plant remained upright and compact, with healthy lime-green foliage and clean new growth. Interventions None required. Rainbow Sundae was slower to germinate/emerge than the Canna-Cheese plants, but after emergence the first week proceeded essentially by the book. What the plant indicated The plant appears comfortable with the conservative early strategy. Healthy lime-green color, compact structure, leaf expansion, and active center growth all support continuing gradual increases rather than pushing inputs. Plan going into Week 2 Continue daily modest fertigation in an expanding ring around the seedling, keeping the developing coco root zone moist without saturating the entire 3-gallon container. Continue the mild feed range for now and increase only in response to growth, color, water use, and plant development. Week 1 takeaway Slowest to start, but once she got going Rainbow Sundae delivered a clean, compact, trouble-free first week.

It remains the shortest and squattest plant in the tent, but its structure became noticeably more organized as the week progressed. Color remained good, the canopy began opening, and multiple secondary shoots separated into clearly identifiable potential tops. No corrective treatment was required. Growth The plant entered Week 3 with a sturdy, compact profile and useful node spacing. By Day 18, gentle positioning had opened the center and exposed developing undergrowth. By Day 19, the main top responded quickly after restraints were removed and resumed vertical growth. Large fan leaves developed a broad solar-panel shape while the secondary shoots continued rising beneath them. By Day 21 the plant was still low and compact, but individual growth tips were visibly separating and the canopy was becoming more radial and evenly distributed. Lighting / PPFD The IonFrame EVO 7 remained on a 20-hour light / 4-hour dark schedule. Lighting was at Level 3 for most of Week 3, then increased to Level 4 at approximately 8:00 p.m. on Sep 22. Actual PPFD measured near Rainbow Sundae was approximately 425 µmol/m²/s after the increase. Fixture height remained about 36 inches from the original canopy reference, with effective distance gradually decreasing as the plants grew upward. Rainbow Sundae showed no obvious adverse response to Level 4, so no further lighting change was made. Feed / Root Zone AutoPot irrigation was activated on Sep 19, approximately Day 16 for Rainbow Sundae. The transition from hand watering to bottom-fed AutoPot irrigation was smooth, with no visible stress. Feed was approximately EC 1.2 earlier in the week and was increased to EC 1.30 for the final couple of days; pH remained 5.8. Shared reservoir use across all three plants was about 0.5 gallon over the Sep 22-23 period, 0.6 gallon over the next 24 hours, and 0.7 gallon over the most recent 24 hours. These are whole-system figures and cannot be assigned to any individual plant, but the rising shared demand tracks with the visible increase in plant size and established root-zone function. Environment / 7-Day Average Seven-day tent averages were 77.0°F temperature, 62.4% relative humidity, and 1.00 kPa VPD. Recorded ranges were 72.6-82.8°F, 41.1-87.3% RH, and 0.25-1.72 kPa VPD. The plant continued normal growth under these conditions. The one-sheet uses the seven-day averages only. Grower Input A small amount of low-stress training was used rather than topping or cutting. On Day 17 the top was gently tipped and tied to begin opening the plant. On Day 18 the bend was refined while the base was supported to avoid stressing the stem, improving light access to the undergrowth. By Day 19 all restraints were removed and the strategy shifted to aggressive leaf tucking rather than removing healthy fan leaves. The released top quickly returned to vertical growth. No defoliation or topping was performed during Week 3. What the Plant Indicated Rainbow Sundae responded well to a restrained approach. The plant stayed healthy while moving from a compact, somewhat crowded structure toward a more organized radial canopy. Secondary shoots continued developing when given light, and the main top resumed upward growth quickly after restraints were removed. The plant appears comfortable with the current feed strength, AutoPot operation, environment and Level 4 lighting. Its compact architecture is different from both Canna-Cheese plants and does not need to be forced into their shape. Plan for Next Week Allow the plant to gain height and create additional vertical separation between the large fan leaves and developing tops. Continue leaf tucking only when it improves light access; avoid cutting or unnecessary structural manipulation. Hold Level 4 lighting and the current fixture position for now, allowing PPFD to rise naturally as the canopy grows closer to the fixture. Continue tracking shared reservoir use and plant response before making further feed or light increases. Weekly Takeaway A strong, uncomplicated Week 3: Rainbow Sundae stayed healthy and compact, responded well to light LST, transitioned smoothly to the AutoPot, accepted the move to Level 4 lighting, and finished the week with an increasingly open canopy and multiple potential tops beginning to separate.

She remains the shortest and stockiest of the three plants, but the structure is opening as the main branches gain length and separation. By Day 28 she measured approximately 9 inches tall. Color remained good, new growth stayed active, and the plant continued filling the interior of the pot in the circular/radial pattern that has distinguished her from the two Canna-Cheese plants. Growth Early in the week Rainbow remained petite and dense, with short fan-leaf petioles making leaf tucking more difficult than on the Canna-Cheese plants. Around Day 23 the canopy was beginning to separate enough to reveal individual shoots. The grow bag was rotated as an experiment to see whether orientation influenced the direction of growth; no firm conclusion was drawn.

By Day 25 the plant was leaning somewhat to one side, so a small restraint was placed near the top of the main stem and used to pull it gently toward center. The response was rapid. The plant stood more vertically, light separation improved, and growth on the roomier side of the canopy became more visible. By Days 26-28 the centering adjustment was clearly paying off: the plant was more upright, the radial branch pattern was easier to see, and the main shoots were beginning to establish their own lanes while the canopy still retained its compact character. Lighting / PPFD The IonFrame EVO 7 remained at Level 4 on a 20-hour light / 4-hour dark schedule. By Day 28, actual PPFD measured at the top of Rainbow Sundae was approximately 500 µmol/m²/s. For tent-wide context at the same checkpoint, Canna-Cheese #2 was approximately 550 and Canna-Cheese #1 was close to 600 µmol/m²/s as their taller canopies moved closer to the fixture.

Rainbow showed no obvious visual sign in the supplied photos that the current intensity required correction. Because plant height is now changing quickly, canopy-level PPFD measurements are more useful than the earlier fixed fixture-distance reference and should continue to be rechecked as the plant rises. Feed / Root Zone AutoPot irrigation remained active throughout the week. At the Week 4 close, the reservoir/controller showed pH tightly clustered around 5.9-6.0 and EC approximately 1.47-1.48 mS/cm. The current checkpoint was pH 6.0 and EC 1.47. These are shared reservoir measurements, not individual plant-uptake measurements.

A small submersible pump was added at the bottom of the reservoir to provide gentle circulation without the agitation previously created by air stones. The air stones were removed. Following the recent pH/EC troubleshooting, reservoir readings stabilized markedly. The cause-and-effect relationship is not treated as proven, but the gentle circulation approach is working well so far. The standing verification rule remains: reposition probes and cross-check suspicious readings with the calibrated Hanna handheld meter before making chemical adjustments. Environment / 7-Day Average Week-close controller averages were 76.8°F, 60.2% relative humidity and 1.06 kPa VPD. Recorded ranges for the displayed period were 73.4-80.2°F, 48.0-71.5% RH and 0.75-1.48 kPa VPD. At the latest snapshot, the tent was 77.6°F, 61.7% RH and 1.06 kPa VPD; reservoir water temperature was 76.1°F. The plant continued normal growth under these conditions. Grower Input A couple of lower/larger fan leaves were selectively removed around Day 22. Otherwise, intervention remained light. Leaf tucking was used where practical, the grow bag was rotated once as an observational experiment, and a gentle side restraint was used to bring the main stem back toward center. By Day 28 the preferred approach was to let the plant continue gaining height and branch length, then gently pull branches apart only as needed to keep the canopy wide and allow light into the interior.

Tent organization also improved during this period as new AC Infinity wireless UIS connectors replaced many of the hanging wired connections. This did not change the plant directly, but it materially cleaned up the working space inside the tent - the continuing Casa de Ren 'clean machine' objective. What the Plant Indicated Rainbow Sundae continues to reward restraint. She has not needed to be forced into the architecture of either Canna-Cheese plant. The plant is naturally compact and dense, but the recent centering adjustment and gradual vertical growth are creating separation without aggressive training. Healthy foliage, active new growth and the increasingly upright structure support continuing the current approach rather than making a major intervention. Plan for Next Week Allow the plant to continue rising and let the branches gain enough length to work with. As individual branches extend, gently spread them outward where useful so they can grow wide as well as up and so interior growth continues receiving light. Continue minor leaf tucking rather than routine cutting. Recheck canopy PPFD as height increases from the current ~500 µmol/m²/s reading, and watch for the first clear signs of the transition into pre-flower.
