PapaSmurf416 I decided to keep this girl outside as well she’s showing preflowers I’m wondering if she’s just mature or actually starting to flower either way looks healthy and happy. 5 gallon smart pot buried into my soil bed. The bed has been amended over years and been growing veggies herbs and flowers always tilled back into the soil. Really looking forward to how she turns out.

PapaSmurf416 She’s stretching now and getting stinky! Really love how a properly mainlined plant can just be left to itself pretty much. All the work in the beginning.

PapaSmurf416 Well she’s either in some form of prolonged stretching pre flower or just straight up in veg. The stems are all stacked with pre flowers lots of shoots forming. I tied her side branches down for a few days to promote more inner growth. We also had a heatwave temps got up to 38 and she never showed much heat stress. Very resilient plant can’t wait to see her flower.

PapaSmurf416 Her leaves have completely changed shape I’m guessing this is do to being outdoors and having such a long veg time. Almost look like basil leaves now. I really like the shape of a mainlined plant for outdoors I also don’t believe I will need to stake but just in case I have a large trellis system set up in the garden. I’ve given a foliar feeding once a week and some oyster shell flour. I’m going to be giving her a large feeding soon as she shares a plot with many other plants she could probably use the boost. I plan on using guano kelp insect frass and humid acids also some DE for pest control and silica.

Does anyone know why the leaves would change like this?

This happens when a plant is revegged after it starts to flower. It will start out with single leaves and work its way back up just like a newly sprouted plant. Check out around week 6 of my fire and water diary and you will kinda see what happens. Somehow your plant has sensed the days getting longer or some other issue of too much light caused it

PapaSmurf416 She’s finally growing back more leaf tips now after revegging. I’m going to clean up the middle and bottom shoots as I mainlined her I want her to focus all her energy on the 8 mains I’ve developed. She takes the heat very well I don’t even think she needs my watering but I have been most mornings.

@Wicked_Stix, sounds good to me! Usually we don’t get frost until late October hoping for that this year 👍

@PapaSmurf416, The only bad is that you are in for a longer grow. The good is that you will probably end up with much more bud site than you would have had

@Wicked_Stix, is that very detrimental to the plant? She’s already got 3-5 and some seven fingers on the newer leaves but again they look like the leaf on the left

@PapaSmurf416, just means that the plant is maturing imho if anything more tips means it's ready to flower rather than going back into veg, hope I answered your question anything else you need just drop me a message 👊🏻

@@Orbital_Nightmare, cheers mate I’m hoping so! She seemed to have had quite a big phenotypical change after being outdoors for so long. I’m noticing the leaves are growing thinner longer and much closer together. Guessing it’s responding to the heat we’re getting. I also think she’s revegging can’t be sure. Will update this post tomorrow.
