HAZE-K2 Quick update: she’s definitely taken off by now, but she’s still not really going full send yet. I reckon that’ll start sometime next week. The taproot has finally made it into the nutrient solution too, so I’ll probably take the drip setup off once she’s got a bit more of a proper root system going. The first two single-finger leaves look kinda messed up for some reason though, no clue why. Never had them come out this wonky before, especially since the EC is actually lower than what I usually run and the pH is right where it should be. We’ll see how she develops 👀

HAZE-K2 Alright, start of week 2 and she’s slowly but surely starting to push now 🌱 I had a bit of buildup around the roots from the clay pebbles and Rhizotonic, but I managed to rinse all of that off pretty easily. Nothing smells rotten or nasty either, so I’m pretty sure we’re not dealing with root rot here. Apart from that, this thing somehow folded under literally zero pressure overnight 😂 I’m guessing I didn’t put the seed deep enough into the rockwool cube, so she basically just tipped over a bit. Now she’s standing there like the fucking Leaning Tower of Pisa, but honestly she doesn’t seem to care, so neither do I. The rockwool cube also turned green from algae already. Doesn’t seem to hurt anything, but holy shit it looks ugly. Other than that she’s doing pretty good and seems healthy. It’s been pretty warm here lately, so the nutrient solution was starting to get a little warmer than I’d like. My highly sophisticated solution to that problem: just threw a cooling pack into the bucket :D If it works, it works.

HAZE-K2 So, it’s been almost another week since the last update 👀 She’s really taking off now and everything’s looking pretty stable so far. I’m taking off a few leaves here and there and gently bending the shoots down a bit, just to get some more light in there and make her grow a little wider instead of just straight up. Nothing too crazy though, just letting her do her thing for the most part 🌱

HAZE-K2 Alright kids, we’re at the beginning of week 4 now and I’m really happy with the amount of volume she’s putting on. I’m regularly bending the branches down and guiding them where I want them to go. You definitely have to be a little careful with that though, I already managed to snap one off 😂 Every now and then I also remove a few leaves to get some more light down to the lower branches. I know there are proper training clips for this stuff and I could literally just print some myself, but somehow I’m too lazy for that and honestly I’ve always gotten away with doing it like this so far. Later on I’ll throw the SCROG net in, but probably not for another 1–2 weeks. If I put it in too early, it always ends up sitting way too low for my liking. And if she starts stretching properly after that, I don’t really have much control over the top anymore and that’s exactly where I actually want the control. Not much else going on right now.
