Germination
25d ago
boocho Hello everyone! This is my first grow report and also my very first grow. I chose this strain because I want to get the best possible result in a relatively short period of time. The main goal is to finish before winter, since I live in Ukraine and Russia continues to attack our energy infrastructure, so power outages during winter are a real concern. For germination, I moistened a paper towel, sprayed a little water inside a zip-lock bag, placed the seed inside, and left it in a dark place. After 3 days, two sprouts appeared from one seed — honestly, that was a bit of a shock 😄 I planted it straight into the pot that came with the grow tent kit, which, if I remember correctly, is around 9 gallons. During the first week, only one seedling appeared above the soil. Let’s see how it goes.

boocho Week 1 has come to an end. I have my own growing guru, but unfortunately he’s helping me remotely 😄 The leaves started curling a little, and I was told it might be caused by too much nitrogen. So I switched to the following feeding schedule: CalMag — 1 ml pH Perfect Connoisseur Coco Grow A — 2 ml pH Perfect Connoisseur Coco Grow B — 2 ml Magnesium sulfate — 0.1 mg Potassium sulfate — 0.1 mg Monopotassium phosphate — 0.1 mg Now, about that mysterious second sprout from the same seed... It eventually made its way above the soil and somehow wrapped itself around the main plant. I carefully managed to remove it completely intact. And then I very uncarefully planted it back into the soil 😄 Since I’m writing this update after the fact, I can already finish the story of the second sprout. By “uncarefully,” I mean I basically snapped it in half. Only a tiny part of the stem was still holding the two halves together. Surprisingly, it stayed in the soil for another week without doing anything. It wasn’t growing, but it wasn’t dying either. So eventually I decided to perform an autopsy 😄 And this is where things got really weird. At the exact point where the stem had broken, a new sprout had formed and started growing inside the broken-off half of the stem. WHAT IS EVEN GOING ON HERE??? Unfortunately, it never managed to reach the soil and develop roots. So I finally decided to let the little mutant go.

boocho Week 2 is finished. The plant has already formed its fourth node, and I really like how compact the spacing between the nodes is so far. The feeding schedule is the same as last week.

boocho Week 3 has come to an end. In theory, there’s about one more week of vegetative growth left, and then flowering begins. The feeding schedule is still the same; I only increased the EC to 1.2. I also raised the light intensity from 50% to 65%. The leaves were starting to press against the sides of the pot because the plant is quite short. So I made a small adjustment: I use a 25 cm 3D-printed pot stand, while the pot itself is 28 cm wide. I lowered the pot slightly into the stand, which effectively reduced the height of the sides around the plant and gave the leaves more room. I also think I’m starting to notice a slight aroma, but I’ve caught a cold, so I can’t say for sure yet.

boocho Hi everyone! I missed a week of updates. The plant is now about 4.5 weeks old. I’m trying to deal with the larger leaves shading the smaller ones. As far as I know, autoflowers shouldn’t be pruned, and I don’t have room to bend the plant, so I came up with this little workaround: I gently tied some of the leaves back. They haven’t started turning yellow and seem to be doing fine so far. I’m feeding it as before. The only change is that I’ve increased the phosphorus from 0.1 g per liter of water to 0.15 g. EC - 1.6. You can tell the plant has taken a bit of a beating from my clumsy hands: I keep bending, breaking, or tearing leaves. Hope it survives

boocho Still no signs of flowering! 😅 I've decided to give her one more week. If nothing changes, I'll switch the light schedule to 12/12. Feeding remains the same, no changes there. I finally worked up the courage to bend her, despite all my fears! :) Mainly because I realized that at this rate, she might not even fit inside my 160 cm tall grow tent. At the beginning of the week, I removed all the leaves growing directly from the main stem. She's also slowly starting to develop a smell, which apparently drives my cat absolutely crazy! 🐈 Recently, I stepped away for just a couple of minutes to grab some wire, and when I came back, that little furry monster had already eaten two leaves! 😂 Anyway, we're growing, experimenting, and trying to be patient. I seriously can't wait to see her flower! 🌱

boocho Hey guys! Week 6 and still no flowers 😅 I can see some changes though, so I'm not too worried yet. About the 12/12 thing — I don't actually want to switch. She's supposed to be an auto, but at this point I'm starting to wonder if I got a photo by mistake. Gonna give her another week and see what happens. Printed some LST clips and they're actually really handy. Also noticed something weird on one of the leaves, maybe a mutation? Added a pic. Still feeding the same. Just trying to get the plant into a decent shape and give all the branches enough light. Was hoping to finish by early December, but yeah... that's probably not happening. Might as well focus on getting a good harvest now :) Let me know what you think! Have a good one!

i personally wouldnt switch to 12/12, i dont think there is any benefit of doing that with an autoflower. your plant looks fine to me, it probably just needs another week or so. good luck

@Liberty420blaz, Thanks! Yeah, I don't wanna switch either. Just worried I might've gotten a photo instead of an auto 😅 Hope you're right tho!
