Added Cannazym and Cal-Mag into the feed. Also 0.4ml more Coco A+B. Plants are starting to drink more. Day 32 transplanting into 10L Airpots, used TNC MycorrMax rubbed to roots when transplanting.
Plants are transplanted into bigger pots, slowly setting in. Plants topped at day 34, starting to train the plants from this day on. I did order a Platinium Ebb & Flood table for the plants, hoping to receive that next week. Still waiting on the sex of the plants, keeping these in veg until I know.
I started to notice some leaf curl on the top growing tips, now ruling out overwatering with proper wet-dry cycle, also flushing the plants with lower ec nutrient solution. 1.5ml of Canna Coco A+B seems kinda high with 0.5ml Calmag, gonna cut back on the A+B from now on. Some of the plants starting to show pre-flowers, mostly starts of male pollen sacs. Im hopeful to receive the Ebb Flood system soon, and see what the end result will be with the plants sexes.
Day 44 going into flowering. Plants are now sitting on top of the ebb flood table, gonna start using this for waterings now. Culled one male out of the bunch. Still waiting for a couple plants to show sex.
Trying to get used to this table system, seems that the plants dont have enough roots at the bottom of the plant so I also hand water if the pots seem dry. Upped the nutes a little, from 1.3 to ~1.6 ec. One plant is showing sex as female, still waiting on other 2 plants. 1 plant from the other tent culled today since I wont have flowering space for that. Took clones from that plant also.
All three of the plants are girls! Happy days! Clones are still rooting, hopefully all three from each plant will make it to preserve the genes.
All of the girls roots are seeking for the water from the table, so system finally starting to work like it should. Keeping EC at 1.5 with 0.18 Ec base. Gonna add far red iniators into the tent tomorrow (Day 11).
Plants have finished stretching, had to put back the drain extender to keep water level a bit higher that the plants have something to drink. Didn't notice this early enough so the furthest plant from the pump end did dry out a bit, nothing that I cant fix still.
Tried to bump up my ec with little too much nutes, noticed tips burned and tuned the ec down by 0.1. I did lose the light hangers since I noticed some bleaching under the qb light, I still have 5cm at the top If I need to raise it up a little. Shortest plant has the nicest stacking nugs, I really like this pheno. I still got 7 clones rooting slowly into solo cups, I only took 1 cutting from that short plant so im hoping that makes it out alive!
Week 5, Day 1: I just noticed that the Quantumboard is too close to the canopy, gotta raise that to the max height to gain those extra 5cm. Havent noticed any tips burning anymore, I think im gonna wait until end of this week to feed the plants some PK 13/14 and then start cutting down on the nute amounts when coming close to harvest.
Week 5 Day 3: Lifted up the light by removing light carabiners. Gained that extra 5cm in height, which helped my canopy temps by couple degrees. Now sitting at 26-28C sweetspot pretty much. Clones from that culled malibupie have rooted, I have a hard time trying to find space to keep these clones alive, since my veg tent completely booked. Happy with the stacking these plants are giving me so far!
Week 5 Day 5: Added PK13/14 into the mix with 1ml/L dosage. Some lower shaded leaves starting to die off. Plants are hungry for nutes!
Week 6 day 4: Came back from a little cabin holiday, couple more shaded leaves dropped. Not much left to go, days are flying by. Res EC had risen to 2.03 so gonna empty the whole res later today to flush out the PK13/14. Plants have really strong smell inside the tent at the moment.
29.8 | Okay, starting week 7. Found some burned tips from that week with PK13/14, cutting down ec to 1.5, took out Calmg & PK13/14 completely from the feed and went back to 2ml with Boost. Slowly starting to dial nutrients down, aiming for that 1.5 Ec mark this week. Had to yoyo half of the tent since buds started falling over from the weight of the top nugs. Also, im handwatering the plants until harvest, gonna use the flood table during flushing since its easier to drain all the excess water from the reservoir. I handwater since the table doesnt work as it should with so much clay pebbles at bottom of the pots.
1.9 | Nugs are swelling up bigtime, sadly found 2 main nugs with budrot inside them. Just a tiny bit of white fuzz with leaf curling and turning brown, spotted the problem pretty much straight away. I can see some curling in the pics 2 days ago, thats when the first signs of budrot popped up but I dont notice it then. Inspected the other nugs carefully couple times each just to be sure there is no more visibly affected nugs remaining, since budrot spreads fast. Keeping my close eye on the nugs of these last couple weeks, and moved my fan from below canopy to over canopy right side.
2.9 | I did my daily inspection and found more grey mold infested nugs, mainly top nugs somewhat across the tent. Those delicious nugs that you have seen in the past photos are now gone, and im super bummed. I still have the clones of these plants so I can retry growing this strain after this run is over. I tossed everything out of the tent that even remotely seemed like start of gray mold infection, hoping to get something out of this.
5.9 | Daily check up didn't reveal any buds with botrytis, changing nutrients to flush mode this week.
10.9 | Night RH has peaked to 65% according to my temp meter, ordered a dehumidifier to help with high grow room RH. Fighting to keep it under 60% during night. Found one nug with botrytis, clean snip and straight to trash with equipment cleanup afterwards. Plants starting to fade nicely, harvest window shouldn't be that far away anymore.
14.9 | Day 58, plants have faded enough for chop, chop going to happen at day 59. Dehumidifier is running 24/7, keeping the RH below 50%.
15.9 | Plants did receive 12 hours of darkness before chop, coco seemed a litttle dry yesterday so the plants were watered with plain PHd water.
Now that it has been a month since the plants finished, black pheno has developed a very strong full blast smell when you open up the jar, smell is very tree rosin like with something mixed to it but I just cant identify the smell. Green pheno plant has sadly lost most of its smell profile, leaving it with very mild lime tones, none of that full face blast as with the other pheno.
My personal favorite was the white ziptie pheno when the plants were growing, now that the nugs are dry and have some taste, I think im gonna go with green & black phenos next round. Both green & black phenos made rock hard nugs, both with a little bit diffrent scent, black being way more diesel, green being sweet piney kind. All in all very happy with the end result, considering I lost most of my big nugs to botrytis.
@OrganicChronic, Thanks man, trying to keep it that way ;) Excited to see how these will perform scrogged, since the growing structure is very top heavy. Checked out your ongoing grows aswell, massive spears you got going in there! Much love 🙌
@ROM101, Thanks man, had luck with me this time since I only popped 5 reg seeds total. Would be super happy if the clones from culled plant are also ladies! 😇
