AlterKiffer After reading very contradictory opinions about Anesia Seeds, but being very attracted to the selection of genetics, I decided to form my own opinion. And since I love pistachios and churros, this strain has been on my mind for days.
And while we're at it, I'm also testing the hydrogel "HolidayGrow" from Dryferm, as I regularly travel for 3-4 days and don't have a reliable watering substitute, plus I don't like to hand over the well-being of my ladies.
For this, I'm using the BioTabs Perfect Plant Pack for the first time.
So far, I've been fertilizing with the BioBizz complete program, which becomes quite complicated and costly with several plants in different stages and the amount of additives, so I've been looking for a straightforward solution.
The day before yesterday, I placed the seed in a damp paper towel in a dark place to germinate, and by yesterday, the sprout was about 3mm long.
I'm using a 15-liter felt pot as the planting container, which I prepared a few days ago, meaning: filling it with a clay pebble drainage (about 3-4 cm thick).
Mix the Floragard soil with BioTabs Startrex, incorporate 20% swollen Dryferm hydrogel (let it swell in the appropriate amount of water for 12-24 hours before use), add Mycotrex to the planting hole, and water with Bactrex, important: keep the surface consistently moist.
I must say that the HolidayGrow/substrate mix feels very fluffy and pleasant and has good moisture retention; the mix smells very nice.
Finally, you press 2 BioTabs fertilizer tablets about 10 cm deep into the soil, and that's it until flowering, when according to plan, it will be watered again with Bio PK 5-8, that's it... I'm very curious!
By the way, the Floragard Organic LightMix has also performed very well in my last grows.
A good perlite content, as well as already contained mycorrhiza spores and quick water absorption without storing too much, reduce the risk of waterlogging and overwatering, especially in combination with the felt pots. And with good drainage using clay pebbles, I believe you're on the safe side.
I must commend that with the Floragard substrate, unlike the BioBizz Light-Mix, I had no problems with flies in my last grows, even when using nematodes!
