My second tent and light came in this week, I unboxed and had it set up in no time. It's a 4x4x7 tent which will give me a bit more room to move in. The lights I had purchased for this task were an inadequate light by a brand named Noah-S. (1000W for roughly $100) I mean if you're down to save the money go for it, but the thing just didn't seem bright enough, and every picture I tried to take near the device was interrupted by lines across the screen. I have taken a number of cuttings which can be seen in the pics, though I didn't focus much on them as there isn't much to say. One of them has rooted and the others are soon to follow, then I will have to choose which I like best and kill the rest. So I'm not sure but I guess I may start a new diary for the clones as they will be the crop. I don't know whether or not to keep this diary open... but I'll figure it out. I should point out that I haven't been adding too much water to the incremental increase due to the fact that it creates a ton of humidity in the tent and even my 195 cfm fan can't keep up to that. So I'm watering as per the plants need, I monitor the plants by periodically lifting them and feeling the moisture of the top 2.5 inches of the dirt. If the dirt seems moist to the touch and my finger returns covered in pieces of media, than the chances are I'm safe and don't need to water this plant. Every time I water the plants I rotate them by 180 degrees and once every couple of weeks I rotate the position of the plants in the room as well. This helps with combating pockets of dead air circulation, monitoring of visible signs of stress in the plants, scouting for pests and afflictions like mold and mildew, and finally it helps the plant by triggering it to strengthen it's branches and stalk. Anyway that's all for this week. 👻

I've never grown pot from seed before, I'm at the sexing stage (40-50 days) and I'm having a little trouble with this one. I believe it's a male, but it seems to be kinda pointy, it seems to have a stem but is that just my eyes? Is this a male/female plant in your expert opinion?

It’s still to early to tell for sure by the pics really but my guess would be a male too. Get some more shots of some other nodes closer to the top of the plant. Might be easier to tell then. It’s really hard from that pic. But if I had to guess id put it in a maybe male bunch to be double checked again in a week or so. Get some more pics tho an we should be able to tell as I can usually sex mine from 3-4 weeks veg usually only needing an extra week sometimes 2 for some plants to be 100% confirmed. so yea get some pics of nearer the top of the plant near the top nodes an hopefully we can tell.

they look female to me.don't get confused, you can see some single calyxes on the main stem later in flowering which you may think are pollen sacs but no they are not. This doesn't mean it's a male.male looks completely different, check out my dead diary.still you can wait for another week to be clear and if it grows both female and male things(flowers and sacs), just dont toss it. you can remove visible pollen sacs by hand and you'll be safe

I updated the pictures, my "white" plant is definitely a female so no pics. The "purple" plant is in question as I have found odd structures that are either modified leaves growing into a new stem or perhaps male pre-flowers. I need your help to decide which you think it is.
