Alpes420 We put the seeds in a glass of filtered water for 24 hours, covered and in the dark. After 24 hours, we transferred them to an airtight glass container with paper towels, which we moistened before and after using a spray bottle. On day 3, germination was complete, and we moved them to the substrate.

Alpes420 Week 1 - Days 2 to 8 (10/1 to 10/7) 🌱 Growth: On day 2, by mid-morning, all four started to peek out, with the shell still on and the little stem in a hook shape; by the afternoon, two were already showing green and two were still pushing. By day 3, they were all out, and by day 4, they had long, thin stems and the cotyledons were open; that same morning, the first pair of true leaves appeared. By day 7, those leaves had already surpassed the cotyledons, and on day 8, we wrapped up with the first pair nice and wide and the second peeking out in the center. One of the four is shorter and has a sturdier stem. The new leaves are coming out a lighter green; we're keeping an eye on it. Environment: This was the toughest part of the week. We closed the tent leaving only the passive top vent and the intake cooler. With the humidifier on a 15/15 timer, humidity shot up to 92% with the light off, so we switched to 15 on/45 off with the light off and 15/30 with the light on. Even so, we had humidity ranging from 39% to 92% depending on the outside weather. We ended up using it manually, only when it drops below ~55%. Watering: Day 2: one watering in the morning that wasn't necessary (we didn't note the amount or pH). Day 4: 2 L shared among the 4 with Deeper Underground (2 ml), pH 6.15, 220 ppm. Day 5: 2 L of plain water, pH 6.25. Day 7: plain water, pH 6.0-6.1. On day 8, the substrate was still moist, and we didn't water. Light: Day 4: 11,600 lux (~178 µmol/m²/s). Day 8: we lowered the panel a bit to reach ~13,000 lux (~200 µmol/m²/s). Learnings: The watering on day 2 was unnecessary, and a fixed timer isn't enough to control humidity. Next step: fill with substrate up to the cotyledons to support the stems.

Alpes420 🗓️ Week 2 - Days 9 to 15 (8/10 to 14/10) 🌱 Growth: Stretching week. We kicked off on day 9 with the first pair of true leaves wide open and the second peeking out, still with the long, thin stems from last week. On day 10, we filled the pots with substrate up to the cotyledons, and they changed posture: they became sturdier with less stem visible. By day 12, the second pair already had the three-pointed leaves open, and the third was peeking out in the center, which on day 14 unfolded the first five-pointed leaves. We ended with three pairs of true leaves, the fourth peeking out, and about 11 cm tall. They’re looking bushier now. On the nights of days 12 and 13, we found them with drooping leaves and dry substrate; with water, they perked up in a few hours. A slight yellowing appeared between the veins on the lower leaves; it didn’t progress, and we’re keeping an eye on it. 🌡️ Environment: On day 9, we added a circulation cooler inside the tent; the plants move gently with the air. The temperature remained stable, between 22.8 and 25 °C. Humidity stayed almost all week between 50 and 64%, a bit below ideal, with two peaks: 81% on day 11 and 88% on day 12. Now we’re using the humidifier manually and turning it off when it reaches 65%. A soft smell is starting to be noticeable, for now just inside the tent. 💧 Watering: Day 10: we filled with substrate and watered 500 ml per plant with Deeper Underground (2 ml in 2 L), pH 5.97. Day 12: 500 ml per plant of plain water, pH 5.97 (base water 148 ppm). Dry substrate and drooping leaves. Day 13: 500 ml per plant of plain water, pH 5.90. Drooping leaves again. On days 9, 11, 14, and 15, we did not water. 💡 Light: Day 9: 13,000 lux (~200 µmol/m²/s). Day 10: we lowered the panel and increased to 16,000 lux (~246 µmol/m²/s). Day 12: 80 cm from the panel to the plants. Day 14: the plants grew towards the light, and the lux meter read 18,000; we raised the panel a bit to go back to 16,000.

Alpes420 🗓️ Week 3 - Days 16 to 22 (10/15 to 10/21) 💪 🌱 Growth: Training week. We started on day 16 with four to five pairs of leaves. On the afternoon of day 18, we did LST on the four: we laid the main stem to one side, secured it with thin wire to the edge of the pot, and rotated the pots so that the light reached the lower shoots better. The idea was to bend only the tip, but we ended up laying the entire stem down; they took it well anyway: no stem broke, the main tip turned upwards seeking light, and the shoots from the lower nodes started to rise. In the following days, we adjusted them very gradually and from day 21 we left them alone. The plan is to let them grow like this and bend them again when the flowering stretch begins. We closed the week with the plants more open and bushy, with several tips at an even height. New leaves are coming out green and clean. On the medium and lower leaves, the lightening between the veins continues, more pronounced on one plant, and some yellowing edges on large leaves; we are still monitoring it. One leaf had a little hole near the wire, probably from rubbing. 🌡️ Environment: Temperature between 22.8 and 25.3 °C. Humidity ranged between 46 and 62%, almost always below the 55-60% we aim for. We continued using the humidifier manually; on day 22 we refilled it and left the top door of the tent open so that humidity wouldn’t spike when turning it on. The smell remains mild and only inside the tent. 💧 Watering: Day 16: third and last Deeper Underground along with the first Top Auto, 2 ml of each in 2 L (1 ml/L). The base water gave 165 ppm and pH 7.16; with the products, 300 ppm and pH 7.35; with 7 drops of pH- we reached 6.15. ~500 ml per plant. It drained a bit into the trays, with pH between 6.5 and 6.9, and we discarded that water. Day 19: plain water, 156 ppm, pH 5.9. On days 17, 18, 20, 21, and 22 we did not water: the substrate remained moist. 💡 Light: Bioled 220i, 20/4 (off from 12 to 16 hs). Days 16 to 21: 16,000 lux (~246 µmol/m²/s). Day 22: it was at 16,500 and we brought the panel closer to 19,000 lux (~292 µmol/m²/s), measuring from the highest tip of each plant and averaging. 👉 Next step: second watering with Top Auto (2 ml/L) when the substrate requests it, and see if the lightening of the lower leaves improves.
