So far, this little lady seems to be doing well.
Day 10 - Starting to spritz with some RO water and nutrients.
Day 13 - Growing little by little. No upward growth but some outward.
This little lady has a couple of twisted leaves. I have no idea what caused this but I hope she straightens out soon. She's not growing very fast but is growing.
Day 18 - She now has a partially yellow leaf to go with her two twisted leaves! So confusing!
Day 20 - Growing well. No new yellowing leaves or other dramatics!
Day 24 - She's growing pretty good. I had to spray her with some tap water to kill/remove any possible pollen that may have got on her from a hermie in a previous grow. 😝 Then she got a little RO water with some nutrients.
Day 26 - Watered with ! cup of RO and some nutrients. So far, so good.
Day 28- She was showing her roots through the bottom of the pot so I transplanted her into a 3 gallon fabric pot and watered her with RO and nutrients. Three hours later she has perked up, she was thirsty! 😉
Day 31 - Some upward and outward growth. So far she is looking healthy. Watered with 2 cups straight RO and wait and see.
Day 34 - Continues to grow upward and outward, yet is showing some signs of deficiency/difficulty. watered with 2 cups RO and some nutrients.
Day 35 - This is the first time trying main-lining. It was horrible to cut apart a beautiful plant but I hope it will be worth it in the end.
Day 41 - So far this lady survived the abuse of main-lining. Time to remove the leftover fan leaves.
Day 44 - She is slowly recovering from the mainlining. In a couple of days I will top her again, just waiting for the new bud sites to grow a bit.
Day 46 - Second stage of mainlining. Topped again.
Day 49 - She's slowly recovering from the topping.
I removed the original 2 fan leaves left after the second topping then did some LST. Some slow grow after the second topping. Hopefully soon I can top for the 3rd and final time. Watering with straight RO, no nutrients. I'm not sure if the dark leaves are natural or if it is getting nitrogen from the soil.
Day 60 - I adjusted the LST and watered with 2 cups RO water and some nutrients. Slow growth and I'm getting impatient. Not sure if I will top again or maybe use what is already growing to make a mainline/manifold.
Day 65 - She's continuing to fill out but not much upward growth yet. Once she gets taller I will flip her into flower.
Day 66 - Before and after the transplant into a 5 gallon pot. Watered with 4 cups of RO and some nutes. I hope she'll be motivated to spread her legs. 😉
Day 68 - She seems to be recovering well from the transplant into a bigger pot. Some upward and outward growth.
This is the last week of vegetation. I've watered her with 4 cups of RO and some nutrients in preparation for the switch to flowering. She's still looking healthy.
Day 85 - First week of flower. Not much upward growth but she's bushy. Watered with 4 cups RO.
Day 89- Some light defoliation to help the light penetration. I watered her with 4 cups of RO and some nutrients.
Day 91- She has grown an inch in the last 2 days, since defoliation, so I think she is recovering nicely. Week one of flowering is done.
Day 94- The flowering has begun. A little upward growth this week and she has several potential bud sites so I'm hoping for decent yields. I'm only giving RO water this week as all of my plants have dark leaves. Not sure if it is the nutrients or the soil mix since the dark leaves have been there since the beginning.
Day 97- I watered her with pH adjusted water as the medium was registering 7.0. I'm hoping the lower pH will help some. She got watered with 8 cups of RO today, as she was getting pretty dry.
Day 100 - Some upward growth and some flowers starting to form. So far, she seems to be doing okay with the lower pH of the water I gave her a few days ago.
Day 101 - Watered with 4 cups of pH adjusted RO and nutrients.
Day 106 - Watered with 4 cups RO and nutrients.
Day 115 - Four days after defoliation. She seems to be doing well. The flowers are bulking up and the leaves are filling in again.
Day 117 - I can't understand why all (including the last grow) of my plants are dark green from very early on in their growth. The leaves are also slightly curled downwards around the edges. I don't feed much for nutrients, nowhere near the recommended doses. Today I have flushed them all in hopes of getting rid of any excess nitrogen. I'm wondering if I may have been too heavy-handed when mixing my soil and amendments. I thought that using organic amendments would be safer. Next time I think I will start with a basic, tried and true soil like Fox Farm and forget mixing my own until I figure this out. Newbie mistake! 😤
Day 123 - The girls are still recovering from the flush but seem to be filling out well. The defoliation allowed for a bit more light to get to the buds but now it looks pretty full again. I don't think that enough light is getting through but I don't dare do any more defoliation this late in flower.
Day 127 - She seems to have recovered well from the flush. The buds are filling out some, the pistols are starting to turn orange and the trichomes are adding up. She got a litre of RO and some nutrients to help her fill out some more. 😀
Day 133 - The buds seem to be bulking up a little bit. Still waiting for the pistols to turn orange/brown and more trichomes to come. She was watered with 4 cups of RO and some nutes.
Day 136 - Still waiting for the rest of the pistols to turn orange/brown but there are already a few amber trichomes! Not sure if that is normal or not. Either way, it looks like she is getting close to harvest. I watered her with 4 cups of RO and a few nutrients. Might be the last feeding or close to it.
Day 138 - I decided to do some leaf removal to try to get more light to the lower branches. Hopefully it will help.
Day 140 - She seems to be recovering well from the trim. I see a couple of amber trichomes so she's progressing. Only watering with RO from now until the harvest.
Day 144 - She has been flushed and is waiting for more amber trichomes.
Day 149 - Still waiting. I hope to get some decent pics soon.
Day 150 - I tried to take some decent photos of the trichomes.
Day 154 - I flushed the ladies again as they didn't seem to be using up the nutrients in their leaves or changing colour.
Day 159 - Starting to see some colour changes but this lady seems to be the slowest. Things should be done soon. the flowering time was 7-9 weeks and we've gone beyond that.
