8/30/19 Hello and thanks for your patience! This girl is doing ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. She thirsts for so much water, I am having to give 2 gallons of water twice a week and she just gulps through it.
I think she's almost done stretching because I am seeing her pistils becoming more prominent. Man, I love how she grows and handles all the LSTs without any issues. She is definitely a bushy girl like Gorilla Glue strain. Be warned though, she loves calcium and magnesium, as I had trouble giving lack of it earlier this grow. I think I dialed the nutrients right in, fingers crossed.
Also this week, Hurricane Dorian may come and impact us directly. It also means we will most likely have power outages which is detrimental for the plants. But overall our safety and our foundation. Good luck to the fellow growers out there with the similar situation, whether you live in the Bermuda Triangle area or near the Bahamas, and Florida. GOOD LUCK. Pray for us for safety.
If I buy a cool mist humidifier for my grow room, will it decrease my indoor temp and increase my RH? Also, with a duct fan sucking up the air out of my grow room, how effective will it be? Unless I slow the air flow down. Thanks!
It will indeed lower your temperature and increase your RH. Your humidifier will work a little harder to maintain your RH that you set but that's it. Your exhaust is necessary to maintain a proper temperature in your tent. Use a VDP chart to find the perfect temperature to RH for every stage of growing. If you want PM your email and I'll send you an excel sheet that you input your data and you'll get the exact range required for each stage of a plant life cycle. Cheers.
She is looking sweet I'd flip in a week just because they are gonna be so huge into the flowering cycle .. maby do some light defoliation and some hard LST as she begins to flower but ya they look very healthy how big do you want em lol ..
Very nice plant I have been watching your grow , I have a Glookies I am starting in late September. I absolutely can not wait to start this grow. Hopefully the storm fizzles out before it gets too close
@Mrs_Larimar, Thanks for stopping by again. The smell is very minimum, like she’s shy to show off. But close enough, it smells very piney and citrus type smell.
just wow... girls look very massive and healthy... they are showing 9 fingered leaves that means they feeling very good and get all they need, to me they look like a few weeks more=?
@Mrs_Larimar, I had to defoliate and lollipop her a little down there because she was too bushy to the point the light wasn’t penetrating through the mid.. thank you for your support 😁
@HarrysOG, You know what I did, I changed my day/night cycle timing a little bit. Because it's hot during the day, they're asleep. At night, they're growing :) Definitely helped on the temperature. Average temp is 2-3F down. Now I am sitting around 77-78.
@MaryJaneUSA, Im afraid you will need to bite the bullet and vent that air out somehow Before flowering begins or
you could face all sorts of problems Hope I solved your problem Happy grow mate
@DILLIGAF, right... that’s the issue for me, I am recirculating the air in the same room because I am afraid to poke a hole into the roof or vent outside... hmm, thanks so much.
Hi mate
I run a split 2.5kw aircon in my grow room, removes alot of the hassle trying to manage heat, humidity and cold. Leave your fans on, make sure your passive air intake is 2 to 4 x the volume of your exhaust outlet this makes a huge difference to good air in bad air out. I Use a fake ceiling and 2 whirley birds to vent air out from 4 tents at once.
@HarrysOG, hey harry I am sorry I didn’t reply, I didn’t see that you had commented back.. so growweedeasy.com by nebula haze was how I learned to grow. She has so much good information.
@MaryJaneUSA,
Check out growweedeasy site lookup passive air intake states up to 4 x the exhaust size. I work in a hydro shop how we setup up kits like this so its common. Ive Never seen a larger exhaust and smaller diameter intakes🤔
Hey there MMJMD, i use a mister in my newest grow and it works great with absolutely no issues with regards to air circulation. It really helps especially during veg . Hope this helps ! 🚀
@MaryJaneUSA, this is what you're looking for : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evaporative_cooler small ones are like 60 bucks big ones are like 120... take almost no Watts and also stabilise your humidity around 50-55%... hope you find what you're looking for bro !
@MaryJaneUSA, ah , you see a mister is for misting not for controlling temperatures (imho!!) so what you're really looking for is an evaporative cooler, that will get your temps down 5°C or more and keep your humidity up aswell
@PharmaZ, @MaryJaneUSA i remember being nervous using beneficials for the first time on my last grow , i was all like "so you want me to put FUNGUS IN MY growroom?" f-off lol ... now i'm a big fan of reasonable use of beneficials, and i learnt it all from you guys here on GD lol
@MaryJaneUSA, no worries at all, if you have a super healthy fungi system you can see the fungi on the top of your soil like spiderwebs. Don’t be alarmed this is good.
I have 2 small cool mist humidifiers in my 3x3 grow tent and it controls the humidity easily with two 110 cfm duct fans sucking out . I have the humidifier set on a humidity controller to turn off/on at desired RH. It will not cool the tent very much at all. If your air is very dry that your venting into you’re tent you may need to put those on a timer of some sort to slow down the amount of dry air going into the tent.
@SirDillton, no I don’t need to bring the humidity down.. I Wanted to bring the temp down. But I flipped my light cycle so they sleep during the day and lights come on at night. I’ve decreased the room temp by 2-3F, I’ll take that al day lol I’m sitting at 78F during the day. It gets around 95F here average outside
Do you need to bring RH Down?i was pumping my air directly into my tent from outside for obvious reasons to keep air fresh but it was way too humid where I live and it was always making to humid. So I bought a dehumidifier and I now push air around my tent from outside instead of in. Then have a duct vent attached to the dehumidifier and it turns on when humidity get to high and pumps dry air in. Opened up vents in bottom of tent for passive flow also and a Co2 bag just to make sure they get enough.thats how I fixed my tent with too high of humidity. @MaryJaneUSA,
@Cannibalgardens, thank you brotha, I want to flower her but my flowering room is full right now... and this room where I am vegetating her, this room is for vegetation only including auto flower grows so I can’t switch the lights to flowering. What a dilemma..
