Daz_Method First week after repotting the rooted clones into 1.65L pots. They were transplanted into a 100% organic soil mix that I prepared myself using dry organic amendments only — no bottled organic products.
This is a Pheno hunt for Goji Biker by Karma Genetics. I don’t flower the original seed plants directly. I first grow and train them according to my usual process, make an early pre-selection, then clone every remaining candidate and run the actual hunt from clones. This gives me more uniform starting material and allows for a cleaner comparison between phenotypes.
I started with 13 seeds. During the first pre-selection, I removed 3 candidates that were clearly smaller than the rest and had a structure that didn’t really match what I’m looking for, leaving 10 candidates for the cloning stage.
GB1 was a borderline decision. It showed the strongest vigor of the group, but also by far the most elongation, which made its overall balance less appealing. Because the vigor was so good, I decided to clone it anyway and give it another chance. I’ll reassess it after the next few weeks of veg, double topping, and training. If the excessive elongation remains, it will most likely be removed before the flowering run.
At this stage, the candidates that look the most promising visually are GB3, GB5, GB6, and GB7. During cloning, GB5 and GB7 rooted the fastest**, while nothing particularly negative stands out from the other remaining candidates so far.
Apart from GB1 being clearly different and the three plants already removed during pre-selection, the rest of the group is actually quite consistent at this stage. There are no huge differences yet, which is a good starting point. The next few weeks of veg, double topping, and especially the transition into flower should start revealing much more about each phenotype.
For now, the hunt is open — let’s see who starts separating from the pack.
