Mimi420 Title: Germination Round-Up! Mixed SCROG Run 🚀🌱
Germination Method:
24h cup-of-water soak + wet paper towel tech in a warm spot.
Germination Stats & Lineup:
Dropped 1 bean of each fresh strain, plus 2 beans of the old-school Black D.O.G. just to see if those old ladies still had some life in 'em.
Here's the official head count:
? Purple Mints (Paradise Seeds) – POPPED!
? Sweetopia (Paradise Seeds) – POPPED!
? Monster Maker (Sweet Seeds) – POPPED!
? Gelonade (Sweet Seeds) – POPPED!
? Sweet Mandarine Zkittlez F1 FV (Sweet Seeds) – POPPED!
🔴 Black D.O.G. x2 (HSO) – Duds / Didn't sprout (10+ year old seeds, RIP old genetics!)
🔴 Red Mandarine / Strawberry Cola Sherbet – Kept on standby for now.
Status:
Not a 100% total germination rate overall because the old Black D.O.G. beans failed to sprout, but all 5 fresh seeds popped with 100% success!
We’ve got 5 strong, healthy babies that cracked their shells, threw out fat taproots, and are now officially settled in their starter pots.
Next step: Let these girls build up a solid root ball under low light before we prep the big 15L bags for the SCROG net. Stay tuned, this run is gonna be straight fire! 🌿🔥💨

Mimi420 📝 Grow Diary Update: Weeks 1 & 2 (Veg Phase)
Title: Week 2 Update: Early Hiccups, Strong Survivors & Clones Joining the Crew! 🌿⚡
Seedling Status & The Hiccup:
Had a bit of a bump during the transplant phase. I messed up something with two of the sprouts while transferring them to soil:
❌ Sweetopia: Popped up about 1cm above the soil, but then completely stalled—looks like she either dried out or suffered root damage and called it quits.
❌ Sweet Mandarine Zkittlez F1: Got planted upside down by accident and didn't make it through the soil.
? The Survivors (Purple Mints, Monster Maker, Gelonade): These 3 girls are absolute troopers! They pushed through, adjusted well, and are already showing vibrant green, healthy leaves with tight internodal spacing.
To fill up the tent for the upcoming SCROG, I’ve added 3 healthy clones into the lineup! (More details on these genetic cuts in the next post!).
Environment & Parameters:
Light Schedule: 18/6
PPFD: ~440 - 450 mutext{mol/m}^2/text{s}
Day Temp / RH: 25^circtext{C} / 55-58% RH (VPD sitting around 1.28text{ kPa})
Night Temp: 22^circtext{C} (Thinking about dropping night temps a bit more for a better day/night split).
Feeding Regimen:
Started liquid fertigation with a light mix of Biobizz Root Juice + Bio-Grow to stimulate root zone expansion and give them their first nitrogen boost.
🔍 Assessment & Grower Comments:
Plant Health & Appearance:
The 3 seedling survivors (Gelonade, Monster Maker, and Purple Mints) look extremely healthy and thick-stemmed! The fan leaves are nice, wide, and deep green without any signs of nutrient burn or light stress. They are responding very well to the early feeding.
PPFD & Lighting Note:
At ~450 PPFD, they are taking full advantage of the energy since they've established a solid root base. Just keep an eye on leaf margins—if you see any tacoing or upward curling, back off to 350-400 PPFD until they put on a few more nodes.
Environmental Tweaks:
A daytime temperature of 25^circtext{C} with 55-58% humidity is practically spot on for early veg! Dropping night temps down to around 19-20^circtext{C} (a 5-6^circtext{C} day/night drop) can help keep node spacing tight and bushy, which is ideal before weaving them into the SCROG net.
