bfcuk 27-09-2026 I honestly messed up the first seed because I was used to the root showing up within 24 hours for sure, or at least the shell cracking open. In the end, I said fuck it and threw it away. The second one was pretty much the same story, but somehow, after rolling around and banging its shell against the plastic container, it finally cracked open. Victory! So yeah, I planted them in universal-purpose Agricola potting soil. By the way, the soil mix is about 5–6 liters of perlite per 20-liter pot, plus 2 tablespoons of dolomite lime. The bald guerrilla is emerging. From now on, its birthday is 27-09-2026. 29-0-2026 Walter has turned into a tall, lanky little bastard. I went out into nature and left him under the greenhouse cover. Baldy is a giant now, about 7 cm tall — already bigger than a Chupa Chups, so that's progress! Finally turned on the second Quasar (the one with the screwdriver-adjustable settings). The driver has an A prefix, but it should be AB. So, what we've got now is 11,000 lux, with the lights positioned right at the very top of the tent. Unfortunately, the circulation fan has started acting up. What should I get to replace it? Something from a reputable brand like Mars Hydro, AC Infinity, or Spider Farmer, or should I just get another cheap Chinese one? The cheap ones last about three months, then they start making absolutely demonic noises. 02-10-2026 The temperature was pushing 30°C and humidity was close to 80%. Something didn't feel right — well, specifically, the temperature. It's all because of that damn second Quasar, which runs at a minimum of 80 watts. 😭 I set the inline exhaust fan to level 1, and now we're sitting at 27°C and 62% humidity. Baldy's about 8 cm tall. Of course, I'd like him to grow wider, but it is what it is. Growers overseas seem to run their veg stage for as long as five weeks, so hopefully he'll catch up. Google Gemini says the following (I'm going to obsess over VPD for this grow 🙂): Leaf VPD: 0.96 kPa Ideal range for the vegetative stage and early flowering: 0.8–1.2 kPa. Also picked up some Fulvic. We'll test it out once the soil dries out a bit. 03-10-2026 Day 6 of Baldy's suffering. Honestly, I feel like he's not growing at all — just suffering. I'm starting to worry that he'll stay a tiny, stunted little runt like this. Switched to a different LED board with dimming. It's now running at 40 watts, with the temperature around 27.5°C and humidity at 60%. Watered in a circle around the plant with 0.5 L of water, pH 6.8 + 1 ml of Fulvic.

bfcuk 04-10-2026 Day 7. Looks like she's finally starting to grow wider. Let's wait and see how she develops. Both lights are running at 80 watts each, giving me around 17,000 lux. 05-10-2026 Day 8. After going back and forth about the light intensity, I decided to stick with 80 watts per light (so 160 watts total for the entire tent). Light intensity is around 20,000 lux. Leaf-level temperature is about 29°C, and humidity is at 71%. The lights are hanging 60 cm above the plants. Baldy looks pretty okay for his age, I guess. 07-10-2026 Day 10. Gave her 0.5 L of water + Fulvic + Hesi Roots. Leaf-level temperature is around 30°C, with humidity at 80%. 09-10-2026 Day 12. She's grown another node, and the new leaves are coming in without that marbled pattern, which is definitely good news! Tomorrow I'll water her with Fulvic and Hesi Power Zyme again. I've increased the lights to 120 watts each but raised them slightly. The temperature inside the tent is around 29°C, and humidity is at 80%. This isn't my first grow, and I've noticed that the plants respond really well to Hesi Roots.

bfcuk 11-10-2026 Day 14 — a mini milestone for Fau Fau! 🎉 Two weeks old already. Baldy is putting out five-fingered leaves, and so far, everything seems to be going okay. If I've still got another three weeks to work with, hopefully she'll manage to put on some decent growth and fill out with plenty of greenery. 14-10-2026 — Day 17 In pursuit of perfection. 🙂 This hobby is fucking expensive, especially when you want to do everything in that “luxury village” style. I decided not to stop at just getting an AC Infinity fan, so I picked up an AI controller (supposedly smart) along with various sensors. Unfortunately, it only works over Bluetooth for now. We'll sort out the Wi-Fi situation by buying a new router and setting up some tunnels. But even with Bluetooth, it's insanely convenient! I've set specific control points, and it operates within the configured ranges. For example, when the temperature inside the tent hits 31°C, it kicks the fan on and brings the heat down. Meanwhile, VPD stays in the 1.1–1.2 range. Still figuring the whole thing out, though. 😅 The plant has grown noticeably over the last three days, putting out another node. It really does seem to be growing as if it's getting closer to flowering. I still haven't watered her for four days, and it looks like she'll easily go another couple of days without needing any. And what's that on the new leaves — nitrogen clawing? I haven't given her any nitrogen at all, which makes it pretty weird. 16-10-2026 — Day 19 Watered her today with 1 liter, getting a slight amount of runoff. Water pH was 6.3. Decided to test my tap water, and the damn thing reads 7.15 pH. Good thing I've got pH Up and pH Down. Managed to get it balanced to 6.3 on the second try. Ordered a bag of CO₂ as well. Let's see if it actually makes any difference. The sensor is currently reading around 600 ppm. Another node has emerged — the very one I thought was showing clawing. 🙂 17-10-2026 — Day 20 Growth is looking good, but she's already started throwing out some tiny pistils. No training for Baldy — she's already a bit of a runt as it is. 😅 Both lights are running at 140 watts each, and I've raised them a little. Now, about that CO₂ bag. I hung it up in the evening, and the ppm reading went up to 800, but the exhaust fan seems to be sucking it all out pretty efficiently. Maybe hanging four bags would actually make a difference. The thing is, I woke up with a headache this morning, and I'm blaming the bag for now. We'll see how it goes. If I keep feeling like shit, that thing is going straight in the trash. A bit of a shame, of course, but better safe than sorry. Still, I get the feeling the plant seems to like the extra CO₂ — or maybe I'm just imagining things. 😅 Man, if only I had my own house with a dedicated grow room. Now that would be something! 🙂
