Voidterps Today I’m starting a new project. This time, I’m running 9 autoflowers in a 4x4 (1.20 x 1.20 m). For the substrate, I’m using soil from my garden mixed with a good amount of coco and dolomite lime. If I had some, I’d add a good amount of perlite to lighten up the mix, but sadly, I ran out.
The mix of strains is mainly to compare the quality of different autos. I got the RQS seeds as freebies. The original strains I wanted to look at in this run are from Mephisto and Humboldt Seed Company.
Humboldt hasn’t let me down so far, with consistently high-quality plants, and their beans always pop for me. So, shoutout to them!
Mephisto is considered one of the best auto breeders in the game right now, and I wanted to run their gear to see if it lives up to the hype.
Overall, I think it’ll be interesting to compare the different breeders in the auto department. Humboldt grows some crazy good photoperiods, but I haven’t really heard much about their autos, so I’m excited to see how they perform in terms of growth, flowering, and flavour compared to one of the allegedly best auto breeders out there.
And then there’s RQS in the mix, representing the cheaper European auto strains.
I’ve put them in paper towels soaked in a 1% H₂O₂ solution and placed them somewhere warm to germinate. Once I saw a taproot, I transplanted them into these EZ Plugs. As soon as they reach the seedling stage, I’ll transplant them into their final 8L fabric pots.
