dor_Micha Starting this diary in week 3 – the seedling stage is mostly just waiting around anyway. To skip any transplant shock, the germinated seed went straight into the 20L final pot.
Since the substrate (mixed with a massive 40% perlite) is already fully amended with Greenhouse BioGrow, I created a buffer zone. I dug a large hole in the center and filled it exclusively with pure, unamended Light-Mix for the seedling to start in.
The AutoPot reservoir has been strictly turned off so far. I've only been spot-watering that small center zone with aerated tap water (using a small humidity dome at the very beginning). This forces the roots to stretch downwards in search of moisture and prevents the huge pot from getting waterlogged.
Now in week 3, she has broken through the unamended buffer and vegetative growth is really taking off.
