S4nchi Strawberry Mist: Following the Strawberry Trail I love old school stuff. For this grow, I've picked Strawberry Mist by Old School Genetics, a fascinating cross with some serious old-school roots. The breeder Oldman Green brought together two intriguing genetics: pre-2000 Kali Mist × Tijuana Cut. Kali Mist is a legendary sativa from the 90s, originally bred by Simon at Serious Seeds. Its ancestry includes Cambodian and Afghan genetics, with possible Thai and Colombian influences. The pre-2000 version goes back to the early days, before and while the line underwent several changes. Its exact lineage is still a bit of a mystery but its reputation is legendary. The Tijuana Cut daddy is even more mysterious. Based solely on its name, one would assume an old Mexican sativa, but back in 2015, Oldman Green referred to it as a “Strawberry Haze Holland Cut.” That opens up an interesting rabbit hole: could it be related to the Dutch Strawberry Haze, which has roots in the glorious Swiss Erdbeer genetics? No certainty but an intriguing possibility. So there's plenty of mystery surrounding these genetics. And that's part of what drew me to Strawberry Mist in the first place: a bit of cannabis history, a misterious family tree, and hopefully plenty of strawberry goodness. Now let's see what the plants have to say. 🍓 Seeds (2/2) were germinated using the paper towel method which took only 36 hours. Then planted in low-nute soil and placed inside the growbox with 18/6 light at 10%.
