It has been a great beginning to the 5 week. They are starting to fill out nicely and staying short.
Sometime this week I will try to initiate the flowering stage by altering the color spectrum of the light and changing the day cycle. I am looking for just a little more growth first.
Day 32: the plant on the left has had quite the growth spurt to the point were it is now just as tall as the other one and a bit more thinned out.
Day 36. Raised the trellis I only want it to keep the top leaves level while I use the string to control the branches.
I am wondering if I have a Dick and Jane instead of a Karron and Sharron.
If it's a Male what should I do? I cant decide, do I keep it and get some seeds to play with,or just get rid of him and finish this as a solo?
My plants do not match up with other Bangi Haze plants. These were two free promotional seeds i received from a seed bank . They seems to be a hybrid as far as i can tell. My question is did this happen to anyone else and do you know what seeds they could be?
What seed bank and sometimes I know it does happen the genetics can be off and or you may just have a different pheno type then what others have even posted . Did you try contacting the actual company I've found that a lot of these companies are actually very nice and look for feed back and questions from the ones who are growing and trying their products.. they look very healthy and what your doingbis working .. hope they are female I had two of mine last week show male it sucks but what can u do unless you need pollen for seeds.. Hope this helped at all and best of luck with the girls ..
a congolese/nepalese cross, really? I smoke congo and nepal both atm, when you mix these two in a joint,it smokes amazing. smooth, happy and incredibly potent. I must give this one a try in further grows yeah
@Cannibalgardens, i received a reply and they told me "Bangi Haze is a highly worked congolese/nepalese hybrid with the tamed structure of a nepalese highland and wider leaf in seedling stage.
Although later shows a thinner congolese leaf trait." so it seems they are Bangi Haze. now i wont be left wondering, and I'm very surprised to receive a reply next day on the weekend. great customer support from Ace Seeds.
@smokeycropping, Sorry I don't. I was thinking about checking out a drip system but i don't want the soil to stay wet. Letting it dry out before watering gives the roots less resistance when growing. Also if the soil stays wet for too long it can begin to create mold. So i decided to stay with the good old fashioned watering when the soil drys out but before the plant withers.
Being 'Landrace', don't expect the same results as strains that are interbred for potency and yield. That's not the point.
The point is to keep these geographically pure strains just that. Pure.
I want the chance to experience these strains before they're bastardized. Ace does interbreed the various landrace strains that they sell but they never toss out the original genetics.
Tried the Malawi/NL Auto even though it's a cross and while I enjoyed the high, the plant was foxtailing like mad and was 'fluffy'. (Admittedly, the environment wasn't excellent)
You want potency and yield? Grow Cookies or GG. Want a rare treat, akin to trying a small craft brewery in Malawi, for example? You may or may not like the brew but at least you can say that you had it. 😚
I really enjoyed looking through your grow diary. 😀 I am doing my first ever grow and one of my strains is Bangi Haze! I can't wait until it is done! It will be interesting to see my thoughts on the flavor profile and compare it to yours. Please check out my grows if you have the time.
