Not much to say really. Shit has been vegging forever in my living room waiting for the tent to cycle out of flower with my previous (first) round. 3 clones, 1 experimental bag seed codename: #5, and one re-veg, experiment #2, aka. maiden of berries.
Well, the plants have been in the tent for veg for a whole week now. I ended up cutting the SD clone and dumping the bag in an attempt to control a fungus gnat explosion. So far, 3 days or so after the scare things seem calm and quiet inside, only 2 gnats on the sticky trap. Pests aside, I recently got an array of RAW nutrients, and made a foliar spray of kelp, nitrogen and full up. Plants seem to love it so far. In the front is MOB (6 week flower) on the left, Green Crack (12-14 week flower) on the right, with experiments number #5 back left and #2 back right. #2 is a re-veg from my first grow because it is one of the best strains I've had in a while.
Well, GC, and MOB have been topped a lot, and are in the final stretch of veg before the tent goes back into flower status. #5 is looking good for what it is, an experiment, so here's hoping its female. I might end up adding 2 plants to this tent grow from my friends current veg cycle to solve a logistics issue and not sacrifice any plants. The 2 that will be added this weekend are also MOB plants cloned from the same line as the one i had LST and topped, but they're much taller since they were under far better growth conditions for the last month. #2 will hopefully move to the friends place this weekend to become a mother for cloning the strain in perpetuity.
Built a two-tier scrog for this grow. Should be able to take apart pretty easily to reuse. I'll add more comments as the week develops.
Updated: Lowered the upper-tier scrog slightly on Thursday.
Gave them first molasses on Monday. First trichs around the buds on Tuesday. Second watering of molasses today (wednesday). Hard to believe they got 4-5 weeks to go. Friend ran the MOB for 7 weeks flower, but thinks it needs 8. I have a feeling I might finish around 7. We'll see!
Everything is developing well. Having some issues maintaining my humidity and temperatures with the seasonal changes. Some spots of WPM showing up here and there and the fungus gnats had a recent spawn. Fuck pests!
Started using a little neem oil around the pots and above the canopy to try and fight the gnats and small pockets of wpm, so far seems pretty mitigated. Looking pretty sugary. My guess is 2.5-3.5 more weeks from now. (11/12)
Update: 11/15 lots of changes over the past few days. they're drinking more and ripening up, smooth sailing from here.
Just realized this was a week behind. Whoops! Things are starting to firm up and really puff. been battling some WPM, and fungus gnats, but beyond that, should be a nice yield to enjoy for the holidays.
Edit 11/23: updated the nutrient/light/temp/humidity data for the week. Honestly, I'm not hardcore with that data (here) yet. Next run maybe. lol
Just finished flushing them. Last feed was on Wednesday last week. Buds are looking tight and frosty. I also have my Viparspectra on "Bloom" only last week or so. WPM seems to have settled down its assault / I managed it with some neem oil. I plan on doing a h202 bath after I cut just for good measure. Update Wednesday 11/29: Chopped plants, washed with H2O2, cleaned the tent with diluted bleach water, cleaned the fabric pots.
I started this run with 3 clones from my friend's place and some experimental bag seeds i started this summer. One of the clones never made it, one of the experiments is living at my friend's place for propagation. The two clones i had were in too big of a pot for too long so they stunted pretty hard. I added 2 more clones that were vegged at my friends place before i flowered and that's basically Run-2.
