These are planted in my own mix of living organic soil with red wigglers. Excited about these plants, they are the first plants that are growing in my own soil.

I will top these plants again this week. They don't seem to mind it too much.

These plants went through a 1.5 day drought this week. Im using my own living soil mix but have been having trouble with these plants lately. I had layed gnat nix down to try to fight off fungus gnats but removed it this week and redid my mulch layer and added straw back on top.

Do you think my plants are having trouble due to the mulch layer being disturbed? Or is it possible I am actually lacking in nutrients? I feel my soil should have all my plant needs. redid the mulch layer this week.Im still seeing a few gnats, are the larvae feeding on root hair?

@donnie I think you may be able to save the plants But you will need to piss that mulch off (what is it Straw?) It only causes excess dampness and is a prime breeding ground for fungus and or Bugs Totally fine if your growing Outdoors in a naturally sunny environment but indoors is not needed. After you have removed the mulch you will need to flush your plants with a weak mix of kelp/seaweed solution and water The seaweed/kelp will help with shock and from then on you need to allow your soil to dry out between waterings/feedings as just like us your plants roots need oxygen and if the soils always damp or wet it can't breathe. Finally cut off all of the discoloured leaves and if you do all of this you will have a fair chance of being able to finish the Grow Now I hope this helps and I hope I was able to provide you with a solution Good luck Mate

@donnie700, yeah i pointed that out in my answer 😉 : just because it's bio doesnt mean it's not too strong for a seedling and not too strong for cannabis you know 😉 again, sorry with the bad news but there's no "one number" usually at that age you want to be around 600 ppm , just measure your run off and see for yourself 👊

@CRiSPrGrow, I just sent some of my soil in for testing to see where my levels are at (unused soil I made and started cooking June 15th). What nitrogen level is considered too high? The mulch layer includes alfalfa meal, milled malted barley, malibu compost, ancient forest compost, worm castings, and charged biochar all in small amounts. I just layed it down yesterday and have been dealing with the yellowing old growth for a couple weeks now.
