@Canadian, thanks for replying... so I sprouted her first week of July indoor.. organic living soil... when she got about a week I transplanted her to a 27 gallon pot outdoors... I’m in Texas so the weather at that time was around high 70’s to high 80’s(Fahrenheit).. no nutrients at all. She grew to about a foot foot and a half. At just over the 1 month mark.. she actually started to flower so about a week into flowering I decided to bend her at her stalk just below the top node... everything up until that point was golden she looked good smelt good and was growing very healthy. When I bent her stalk i made sure not to break it, I actually bent to where she still had a bit of a curve and I waited a few days her leaves started to dry out. I kept the same watering schedule. Every other day nothing changed but me doing LST on her. And that’s when things took a turn for the worse..

First time grower here... I got these as a freebie and decided to run my first time grow with her... about a month after she sprouted I decide to lst her just below the top node.. she ended up dying... anyone know what I did wrong? Appreciate any help on this... thanks

@d50ne, probably the problem we're looking at here is a combination of factors the most important thing one is that you do not start your low-stress training on flowering time you star anything between Week 2 and week 3 and once the plant stars to flower you allowing to Grow free so that the plants start to develop nice long branches that would carry lots of flower the time they are enters into flowering the branches have become very stiff and anything you do to them well stress out the plant if you do extreme bending like the one you do when there are in vegetable state they are more likely to die or not grow as you are wishing for . Probably if you had released the plant from the bending and allow it to stretch up It will have recover unless you actually super crop the main stem and sometimes the stress is too big and the plant dies. The fact that you saw yellow leaves would have warned you that the plant was struggling the stress has been too big to it . When you perform low-stress training the leaves in the plant has no effect except then new grow that you desire to have. Just as a note when you do the low stress training you do it gradually not in one whole Pole because then the plant could not make it you slowly start pulling everyday a little bit more until you reach the desire Bend I not to snap the branch neither to do extreme tension on it because the nutrients and fluids still has to reach each Leaf in order for the plant to continue to exist hope this comment help you out have a happy grow.

@Canadian, thanks for the reply... sorry so late still new to this and wasn’t sure how fast people actually respond... anyways, so the bean I popped was a cheese auto flower xxl from Dina fem... I did the standard soak in water for 24 hours then wet paper towel. The medium I used was organic soil.. a combo of roots organic, bu’s blend, and another soil I can’t remember.. I live in Texas, but I attempted to grow her outdoors... no nutrients at all.. all living soil. I grew her in a starter real small container then transplanted her about a week after into a 27 gallon container with my living soil. She took really well to the transplant and was growing really nice and strong up until I bent her stalk from below her top node... temperature I would guess at the time (July 1-31) in Texas was around 70- 85 degrees Fahrenheit. I’m pretty sure I did not over water as by the way she looked she looked like she was doing very well... I had read somewhere that when LST you bend the stalk and making sure not to break it but so it’s bent I actually did not bend it till the crunch like most places I’ve read said to do I bent it over to where there was still a curve in the stalk but it stayed bent over. Hope this helps.

Hey man, your LST looks great! I'm working also with LST but i dont fixate the main stem like you did, i only tied it down and started to tie the upcoming branches down. Will that cause any problems? :/

@absolutgrow, thank you for your comment and the reason that I tie the main stem is to create some buffer distance between the grow medium and the plant himself to avoid leaves and branches touching the soil that could cause a problem . but also gives me the ability to pull hard in to the side I want to bend in order to create a more even flower bed good luck with your garden and have a Happy grow

@Camobliss, thank you for your comment this kind of training is performed in order to trick the plan to think that it's main stem has been lost without causing stress to the plant and in response it will try to grow more main stems that at the very end means more main colas and that gives you more flower I've been used this technique in the past with great success it's true this kind of training is not for everybody because it requires constant adjustment but at the very end makes it worth it .have a happy grow

@DinafemSeeds, thank you Mark for checking out my diary and it is always a pleasure to grow your genetics (Dinafem) because they are top of the line that gives great results every time making the money you spend on those seeds always worth it. as interesting note I purchase more seeds from Dinafem and they arrive within a week . So far 100% germination rate thank you . Can't wait to start my new diaries.
