Before harvest you should look for swollen calyx's, which seems like they are about there, pistils curling, and most importantly the trichomes. You can use a jewlers loupe or electronic microscope and check them. The more amber your trichomes, the more narcotic effect as the THC turns into CBN. The plant is at its' most potent when the trichomes are cloudy. I like no more than 10% amber, but that is only a personal preference... now its all on how you like your smoke.
