So far I keep training back the branches to keep the tops even, they’re responding well. I might top the middle plant this week if I am going to top her. Kicked up the base nutrients and added in a few root boosters and bud dandy to prep fo flower. I’m probably 2 weeks from flowering, but I should be transplanting near the end of the week and moving into the flower tent a few days later.

Grow Questions

I’m not sure, but I feel like I’m getting slow, compact growth. The fan leaves are coming in pretty fat. This my 3rd grow. Still in the middle of flowering my 2nd grow. So I’m not exactly sure when things are going right, just notice when the start to look off.

Hey budfox your plants look happy healthy and right on schedule. Black sugar is an indica dominant strain which naturally grows compact short and fat with the wide leaves like yours. A sativa dominant strain will grow taller and thinner with slimmer longer leaves. Indica dominant strains have a shorter flowering time and usually grow denser buds. Hope that addresses your concerns. Best of luck with them!

If you have any more questions or concerns feel free to ask. Looks like they are going to be some nice ones. Excited to see how they turn out!

@BudFox, No problem. I know the feeling. I am always ready to get some new ones going! For your maximum yield potential you may be over 6 weeks, but those girls might surprise you. That shorter flowering time usually makes up for the time it takes to get them a little bigger. I almost picked some of these for freebies on my last order but went with the bruce banger. They look nice though! Kinda kicking myself lol

@Wicked_Stix, thanks! I’m being impatient I guess. On my previous grows I’ve vegged for no less than 9 weeks. I’m trying to get this grow down to a 6 week veg cycle, that’s why I started more plants vs the 2 per grow I did before.

@Cannibalgardens, I was hoping to do one of each, I don’t know why I thought power flower was Sativa dominant. Clearly indica dominant here.
