“Charleigh” is a cross strain of Cherry Pie and Gorilla Glue that was handed to me as a 2 week old clone. She has now been in veg for 10 weeks and 6 days as of last photo taken.
Same story as other journals for Granddaddy Purple, Do Si Dos and Strawberry Cough. She will be in veg for roughly another month befor flowering as she waits her turn to flower. Spread your wings in the meantime!
Charleigh the cross between Cherry Pie and Gorilla Glue was fimmed at start of this week to slow down her top growth and allow some more light down to lower branches. Since she doesn’t get her spot in the tent for a few more weeks her branches are being LST’d around top rung of her basket.
She seems to remain happy and healthy to this point. However she has big shoes to fill as I’ve seen how her mother grew and produced
The start of this week Charleigh’s tent space was freed up for her to start flowering now. She spent 2 days in blackout befor being feed transitioning to flowering nutrients. The day after her blackout I noticed her first pistil appearing. Last feeding was watered with Cal-Mag and ph’d 6.2
Numbers in pictures:
AG = above ground
FD = flowering day
Charleigh has put on 4” of vertical growth above her green screen which has filled in quite nicely this week. No deficiencies as she seems to look very happy and healthy.
For the most part Charleigh has mirrored her last week progress. She has put on another 3” in height and is a much fuller canopy. Each of the top branches are now showing very obvious flower sites as they have at the very least tripled in size.
Seems to be happy and healthy as she continues to be fed 2 litres of green planets 3 part nutrients. Fed full strength nutes Friday’s and Tuesday’s with Sunday being ph’d Cali-magic. This leaves Thursday’s as a judgement call on moisture level. If plant is to dry I’ll give her a single litre of ph’d water to make it to the next days nutrients but I try not to water Thursday’s to stress em out a little.
Until next week......
Charleigh the cross between Cherry Pie and Gorilla Glue grew 4 inches in height this week. Seems like vertical height growth should be starting to slow down any day now allowing her to focus on making her flowers bigger and more dense.
Charleigh is still being watered;
-Tuesday with full gp3 (green plant 3 part) plus Cali mag by General hydro PhD to 6.2 roughly 2 litres
- Thursday get PhD Cali mag water and
Only 1 litre at most. Try not to water Thursday unless she is to dry to make it to Friday
-Friday full gp3/ Cali mag PhD 2-3 litres
-Sunday full gp3/Cali mag PhD 2-3 litre
-Monday/Wednesday/Saturday no water.
This week had a pretty major change not just in flower production, but also decided to change tent set up as well. Changes to the tent included ditching the 600w led and the 2x 2000w garbage led lights (i call bs on manufacturer saying they are 2k) These 3 lights are now out and we have stepped up to cmh 315w. Should have bought this cmh 315 right off the hop and not spent the money on led. Now going to cmh the tent run way hotter and has required other upgrades to keep from overheating. The duct system was dual t4 cloudlines running one in and one out off the same control module has now been changed to a T6 cloudline exhausting with a t4 feeding cool/fresh air. Tent jumped 9 degrees with cmh 315 so had to also add the overheat back up plan. Put a 6” inline duct (can fan pushing extra 200 cfm) along the exhaust line closer to window exhaust point which is plugged into an ink bird plug and play thermostat set to 82. This just helps the T6 do a better job with less noise.
With these changes I feel way more confident of yielding a higher gram/plant ratio. I believe if you look at last weeks pictures and compare to this weeks you will probably agree with me.
You decide .......😀
Exciting times very time the tent is opened to water Charleigh and her 3 tent mates. From the moment the door is unzipped your hit with the wonderful aroma! Now I understand when I go to water these ladies I’m stoned while doing so but with that said it’s pretty hard not to find yourself staring at the flowers that have bulked up nicely, or the hairs 40% changed reddish orange, or even the sugar leaves that are packing on the crystal.
If you can’t already tell I’m pretty happy with the way Charleigh the cross between Black Cherry Pie and Original Gorilla Glue is turning out. Provided she keeps going this way to the end, she looks promising.
As I keep telling myself “BE PATIENT, good things come to those who wait”
Down to the nitty gritty....
Looks to me that she will get one more week of nutes befor she sees a florakleen flush, followed by a couple straight ph’d water leaving her with possibly a day or 2 of blackout. Looking forward to using the trim bin I bought since last harvest 😀
Very nice combination making this strain a great day time tasty high for me. Very happy with the way she turned out and look forward to tasting her along the way through the curing process
